    • PURPOSE:To obtain an alpha+beta type hot rolled titanium alloy sheet having good suitability to cold rolling by superposing cladding materials having a limited thikness on both surfaces of a blank material for a hot rolled sheet, welding the cladding materials to each other except the tail side of the rolling and hot rolling the material. CONSTITUTION:Cladding materials 8 of mild steel sheets of the thickness >=22% of a blank material 9 for a hot rolling sheet of an alpha+beta type titanium alloy are superposed on both surfaces of the material 9. The materials 8 superposed on the material 9 while mill scale is held stuck to at least one of the cladding materials. The materials 8, 8 of the part except at least the end on the tail side of rolling are subjected to coated arc welding so as to obtain three places of weld lines 10 to bring the materials into contact with each other. The material 9 is then hot rolled, whereby the hot rolled sheet of the alpha+beta type titanium alloy having no bending, folding, etc. is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a titled hot-rolled Ti alloy sheet which can be easily reduced in thickness, by forming a blank material for a hot-rolled alpha+beta type alloy sheet into the three-layered structure wherein both surfaces of said material are coated with metallic sheets having specified material quality and thickness, heating the blank material in a prescribed temp. region and subjecting the heated material to hot rolling in succession. CONSTITUTION:Both surfaces of a blank material for a hot-rolled alpha+beta type Ti alloy such as Ti-6Al-4V alloy (beta transformation point; 970-1,000 deg.C) are coated with any of pure Ti sheet, mild steel sheet and ferritic stainles steel sheet of >=3mm. thickness whereby the blank material is made into the three-layered structure. The m. p. of these coating materials is appreciably higher than the heating temp. for hot rolling. The blank material for the hot rolled alpha+beta type Ti alloy sheet made into such three-layered structure is heated to a 80 deg.C-beta transformation point temp. region, and is then subjected to hot rolling. The end temp. in the hot rolling is determined at >=570 deg.C, whereby the intended hot-rolled alpha+beta type Ti alloy sheet having excellent suitability to cold rolling is obtd.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a hot-rolled plate of an α+β type Ti alloy which is easily workable into a thin plate and has superior cold rollability, by heating the Ti alloy to a temp. in a temp. range whose upper limit is a specified temp. below the β transformation point and by hot rolling the heated alloy in one direction to a prescribed final plate thickness at a prescribed finishing temp.
CONSTITUTION: An α+β type Ti alloy such as a Ti-6Al-4V alloy having 970W 1,000°Cβ transformation point is heated to a temp. in a temp. range whose upper limit is a temp. 20°C below the β transformation point. The heated Ti alloy is hot-rolled in one direction to ≤5mm final plate thickness at ≥700°C finishing temp. A hot-rolled plate of the α+β type Ti alloy which has extremely superior cold rollability and is easily workable into a thin plate can be efficiently manufactured.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a loudspeaker use colored titanium diaphragm being efficient and inexpensive, and also, excellent in an acoustic characteristic by executing a continuous annealing processing to a titanium foil and coloring it after cold rolling, and forming the diaphragm from a colored titanium foil which is obtained. CONSTITUTION:A titanium or titanium alloy foil after cold rolling is annealed continuously in an annealing furnace adjusted to prescribed temperature and gas atmosphere, forming working is further applied as necessary, and a loudspeaker use colored titanium diaphragm colored to a target color is obtained. As for its process, a stock annealing process and a coloring process are executed simultaneously, and also, uniformity of the color is very excellent due to a continuous processing in the annealing furnace in which a gas composition and a temperature are adjusted, and also, there is no variance of a material quality. In such a way, annealing and coloring can be executed continuously in the same process, and a cost reduction can be attained. Also, because of gas atmospheric coloring, coloring which is uniform and always has reproducibility can be executed.

    • PURPOSE:To produce a bright annealed titanium sheet material having high quality without being formed with temper colors, etc., continuously with high efficiency by setting the atmospheric pressure of gaseous N2 atmosphere chambers at the pressure lower than the gaseous Ar atmosphere pressure in a furnace body and higher than the out-of-furnace pressure. CONSTITUTION:The atmospheric pressure of the gaseous N2 atmosphere chambers 11, 11' of the continuous bright annealing furnace body 10 is set higher than the out-of-furnace pressure 10 and the gaseous Ar atmosphere pressure in the furnace body 10 is set slightly higher than the atmospheric pressure of the gaseous N2 atmosphere chambers 11, 11'. The pressure to press a coil 3 to be treated to felt 12 is so regulated that some gaseous N2 is ejected from the felt seal in the inlet side chamber 11 to the outside of the furnace 10. The surface of the coil material 3 is cleaned by the ejection flow of such gaseous N2. The O2 sticking to the coil material 3, is therefore, not carried into the furnace body 10 and the generation of the temper colors is prevented. An infiltration accident of the gaseous N2 into the furnace body 10 is prevented even if the pressure in the chambers 11, 11' increases.
