    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact type image sensor having high accuracy in terms of the position of a slit relative to an optical axis and a distance between a reading optical system and an original platen glass.
      SOLUTION: Regarding the image sensor having such a structure that a bar-shaped light source which irradiates an original with light, a hood with a slit which receives the light reflected by the original through the slit, an imaging optical system which condenses the light passing through the slit, and a light receiving element which receives the light transmitted through the imaging optical system are incorporated with a housing, a thin metal hood is used as the hood with a slit, and positioning holes are separately formed in the upper surface of the metal hood, at each end thereof in the main scanning direction and the corresponding position of the housing, and positioning pins are inserted into the holes so as to fix both the hood and the housing, and a compression spring for pressing the housing against the original platen glass through the positioning pin is arranged, and a pair of upper and lower projections is arranged on each end side face of the housing in the main scanning direction, and also, a notched path for guiding the pair of projections is formed in each end face of a base frame incorporating the housing.

    • PURPOSE:To form a dense SiO2 film on the surface of a base material by adding sulfuric acid to an aq. hydrosilicofluonic acid soln. in which SiO2 is in a supersatd. state, then bringing this soln. into contact with the base material. CONSTITUTION:Water is filled between an inside chamber 1 housing the aq. hydosilicofluonic acid soln. in which the SiO2 is held dissolved and satd. and an outside chamber 2. The soln. is heated by a heater 4 and is stirred by a stirrer 5 so as to be kept at a specified temp. The aq. soln. in the rear part 8 of the inside chamber is circulated to the front part 6 of the inside chamber via a filter 11a by controlling 3-way cocks 13a, 13a', 13b, 13b' and operating a circulating pump 12a. An Al sheet 15 is immersed into the rear part 8 and is held for 15 to 20 hours to obtain the treating liquid of 1 to 4mol/l Si concn. The sulfuric acid is added to this treating liquid so as to attain 10 to 10 S/Si molar ratio to the concn. of the Si component. The treating liquid is then circulated through the rear part 8 of the inside chamber, the filter 11b and the circulating pump 12a to the front part 6 of the inside chamber and the base material 14 is immersed into the middle part 7 of the inside chamber, by which the SiO2 film is formed on the surface of the base material.
