Then, a cylinder 32 is made to contract, so that fingers 80 are located at both sides of a panel, and the arm 30 is made to project. At the same time, a cylinder 42 is made to expand or contract for adjusting the projection amount of the arm 40 and the height of the fingers 80. Thereafter, the cylinder 40 is actuated to change the projected direction of the arm 30 and a motor 71 is driven to turn a finger operation section 70, so that the opposed faces of the fingers 80 become parallel to both sides of the panel. Furthermore, the panel is held with the fingers 80 and the vehicle 10 is made to travel to a work position.

Accordingly, the ceiling material is transferred from the loading base to the lifter without lowering the working base and hence, the working efficiency is increased.

This operation process is repeated to turn the arms 13 and 14 in such a way as corresponding to the inclined direction and angle of the lever 27, and an interior material 5 retained on the finger 17 is moved to the predetermined mounting position. Thus, the mounting position of the material 5 can be accurately determined.
