摘要： PURPOSE:To measure the liquid in a container easily and speedily and to secure the safety of the measuring operation by heating the liquid level in the container nearby the liquid level from outside and detecting a temperature difference between an upper and a lower level which is caused by heat of evaporation. CONSTITUTION:The frame part 4a of a jig is applied to the outer peripheral surface of a cylinder 1 corresponding to the height of the liquid level of liquefied gas which is read on a graph and fixed with a fitting band 4b. Then, a heater 5 is used to heat an external surface surrounded with the frame part 4a. A thermotape 6 is stuck where the frame part 4a were fitted after the heating. If there is liquid at the heated part, heat of evaporation is absorbed by the liquefied gas in evaporation to lower the temperature of part of the peripheral wall of the cylinder 1 corresponding to the part below the liquid level, so there is no variation at the part of the gas above the liquid level. Namely, a temperature difference is generated about the part corresponding to the liquid level of the liquefied gas where the local heating is performed. Consequently, the tape 6 stuck there discolors stepwise corresponding to the temperature difference, so the border surface of the color is regarded as the position of the liquid level.
