    • PURPOSE:To be able to make the re-starting operation of a whole pipe-line easy by only installing a clean water press-in mechanism in such a way that a clean water press-in tube is connected via a pump to a pipe line transferring coal and water slurry under pressure from a cleanwater source and at the re-starting operation time of highly concentrated coal and water slurry the slurry is enabled to flow effectively and easily by said mechanism. CONSTITUTION:During the normal operation time of a pipe line, a valve 5 is opened and a valve 8 is closed and a small-sized press-in pump 7 is stopped and when the flow in a piping tube 3 does not start even by the control operation of a main pressure transfer pump 2 at the re-starting operation time of highly viscous fluid, a very little amount of clean water from a cleanwater tank 6 is injected under pressure into the pipe 3 by the pump 7. In this case it is desirable that the valve is closed and the main pressure transfer pump 2 is stopped. It is possible that highly concentrated coal and water slurry may be slightly moved and if not, press-in clean water forms a clean water film between the inner wall surface of a pipe 10 as the piping tube 3 and the highly concentrated coal and water slurry 11, and flows mainly downward to make the flow of a whole slurry easy.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the non-Newtonian property of the fluid flowing through a pipeline by an on-line system, by measuring the difference pressure of a different diameter pipe part having three different diameters and comparing the calculated difference pressure value of the different diameter pipe part with an actually measured difference pressure value. CONSTITUTION:Measuring pipes S, M, L different in an inner diameter are interposed on the way of a pipeline main pipe X and connected by reducers R so as not to inhibit the flow of a fluid. An operator 2 operates the output values from the difference pressure gauges mounted to the measuring pipes S, L on the basis of the output value from the difference pressure gauge 1M mounted to the measuring pipe M having the intermediate inner diameter supposing that the fluid flowing through the main pipe is a Newtonian fluid. The obtained operated values are inputted to differential amplifiers 3L, 3S where the differences between said values and the actually measured values from difference pressure gauges 1L, 1S are amplified and outputted. Said differences show the shift from the Newtonian fluids in the measuring pipes S, L and, if the magnitude or the positive and negative thereof is known, the non-Newtonian property of the fluid flowing through the pipe can be judged.
