摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modify coke by measuring the temperature distribution of the inside of a cooling tower, a gas composition distribution and a pressure distribution during operation of a dry quenching facility of coke, improving the uneven flow of a gas in a prechamber based on the measured results and thus uniforming the temperature distribution in the inside of a coke layer. SOLUTION: This monitoring apparatus for grasping the state of the inside of the cooling tower during the operation of the dry quenching facility of coke is equipped with a lance 9 to be inserted into the inside of the cooling tower, a measurement body 10 attached to the tip part of the lance 9, a thermometer 11, a gas analyzer 12 and a gas pressure gauge 13. The measurement body 10 is provided with a temperature sensor and a gas suction hole. The temperature sensor is connected to the thermometer 11 and the gas suction hole is connected to the gas analyzer 12 and the gas pressure gauge 13.

Coal blend B containing 1 wt.% to 60 wt.% waste plastic mixed thereinto may be charged after the primary shrinkage of coal blend A.

SOLUTION: A blow-in port 13 for blowing air into a spare chamber of a coke dry-quenching apparatus is formed in the chamber. On the sidewall of the chamber, an obstacle member 11 capable of advancing to or retracting from the inside of the chamber is installed. At the tip of the obstacle member 11, a temperature sensor 12 is installed. Basing upon the measured value of the temperature sensor 12, the amount of advancement of the obstacle member is adjusted to thereby control the falling speed of coke. When the temperature of a measured place is lower than that of another place, the obstacle member is advanced to thereby elevate the temperature enough before causing coke to fall. When the temperature of the measured place is higher, the obstacle member is retracted to increase the falling speed. Thus, the improvement effects of coke is uniformized.

A CCD camera 4 is installed near the surface of the coal 1. The clear image of a small particle size of the coal 1 is obtained. The obtained image is inputted to an image processing apparatus 5. A particle size distribution is measured by the image processing.

In this method, a coal blend which can develop a specified strength is charged into the bottom part of the carbonization chamber to form a floor covering layer; while the floor covering layer is being carbonized so as to form an integrally formed pedestal in the state of a coke cake, the waste plastic is charged into the chamber at a time or in portions; and thus formed and accumulated thermal decomposition residue of the waste plastic is pushed out, together with the pedestal in the lower part of the chamber, with a pushing machine. The strength (DI30/15) aimed at of the above-mentioned coal blend, which can develop a specified strength, is preferably 80 or higher.
