    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a straightening method of shape by which high degree of flatness is realized without imparting excessive extension rate even in the case that the elongation which can be imparted to a steel strip has restriction due to material quality in equipment of a tension leveler for performing shape straightening of the steel strip. SOLUTION: In the shape straightening method of the steel strip with the tension leveler in which five or more leveler rolls having independent reduction type or tilting reduction type pushing-in mechanism are arranged zigzag, the elongation ε imparted to a material 1 to be straightened is preliminarily calculated from the inlet-side steepness λ0 of the material 1 to be straightened, the target steepness λ after straightening and function value α(-) by the thickness t of the material 1 to be straightened and the amount δ1 of pushing-in of the leveler roller. Even in the case that the calculated elongation ε is larger than the extension rate εmax which can be imparted to the steel strip 1 from the restriction by the material quality, the shape straightening is performed within the range of the elongation εmax.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a control method for a hot rolling machine capable of changing draft setting only by target thickness and stably changing thickness by performing control by using different kinds of draft control parameters. CONSTITUTION:A controller is constituted of a thickness storage part 10, a change point tracking device 12, a thickness setting change device/gain compensator 14, a smoothing device 16, an abnormality detector 18, and an AGC device by BISRA system. The thickness storage device 10 stores the input/output side thickness target value of materials A, B found by draft schedule calculation, and calculates difference DELTAH, DELTAh. The change point tracking device 12 issues a setting switching timing when a flying thickness change point arrives at each stand. A draft setting correcting operation is started by such timing command. The thickness setting change device 14a starts the adding operation of thickness correction quantity by the input of the setting switching timing. In this way, it is possible to easily control a draft position when the thickness is changed with high accuracy by using the thickness target value calculation result of each stand.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of a steel plate and to stabilize and uniform the coupling characteristic of the steel plate with respect to concrete or the like and to enhance the adhesive strength by setting ridges formed on opposite surfaces of a steel plate to be not in parallel with each other between both surfaces thereof. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of ridges 2 which are continuous widthwise of a steel plate are formed at each of opposite surfaces of the steel plate 10, being longitudinal spaces from one another, and the angles of the ridges 2 with respect to the widthwise direction of the steel plate 10 are set so that they are not parallel with each other between the opposite surfaces of the steel plate 10. Further, the height of the ridges 2 is set so as to maintain a steady-state in the longitudinal direction of the steel plate. Upon the manufacture of such a steel plate or a steel strip ridged at opposite surfaces thereof, steel is rolled by work rolls 1, 1 having gullivers 3 which are arranged so that the angles of the ridges 2 with respect to the widthwise direction of the steel plate 10 are set in such a way that the ridges are not in parallel with each other between the opposite surfaces thereof.
