    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To melt and remove skull stuck to a furnace opening part and side wall in the furnace without damaging a refractory by adjusting pure oxygen flow rate in the gaseous oxygen jetted from nozzles for melting the skull arranged on the outer peripheral surface of a lance according to the dust concn. in exhaust gas generated during blowing molten iron. SOLUTION: The lance 5 is inserted into the furnace through the furnace opening part 4 from the upper part of a converter 3, in which the molten iron 1 and slag-making material 2 are charged. In the lance 5, an oxygen nozzle 6 for blow-refining is disposed at the lower end part and also, the nozzle 7 for melting the skull on the furnace opening part, is disposed at a prescribed position in the upper part from the lower end part, and the jetting direction from the nozzle 7 for melting the skull is made to downward or in the longitudinal direction in the range of about 40-90 deg. angle formed with the axial line 10 in the longitudinal direction of the perpendicular lance. The dust concn. in the exhaust gas 11 from the converter is measured with an exhaust gas dust concn. meter 12 and the pure oxygen flow rate in the gaseous oxygen jetted from the nozzle 7 for melting the skull, is adjusted according to this concn. to restrain the stuck quantity of the skull 8 stuck on the furnace opening part 4 and its constricting part 4a and the skull 8' stuck on the sidewall in the furnace.

    • PURPOSE: To remove metals stuck to a furnace opening and a lance for refining during refining. CONSTITUTION: In the multi-pipe type lance 1 for refining arranging piping for cooling is provided with a water supplying passage 5 and a water draining passage 4 for cooling at the outside of an oxygen pipe 3 provided with an oxygen nozzle 2 for refining at the tip part, plural nozzles 6 for secondary combustion which can spout the oxygen in the horizontal direction or downward direction along the peripheral direction of the outer peripheral surface of the piping for cooling, are arranged at a fixed interval. Further, plural nozzles 7 for melt-removing the metals which can spout as radial-state by centering each nozzle 6 for the secondary combustion, are arranged and an oxygen passage 10 for supplying the oxygen is connected with each of the nozzles 6 for secondary combustion and the nozzles 7 for melt-removing the metals. By this constitution, the service lives of furnace shell, refractory or the lance are prolonged and dangerous work can be avoided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the crack and the strain of a gas supplying tube for secondary combustion by connecting the gas supplying tube for secondary combustion with a nozzle for secondary combustion and controlling the supplying quantity of the gas for secondary combustion. SOLUTION: In a cooling water supplying passage 13 in the inside of an outermost cylinder 14, the gas supplying tube 17 for secondary combustion inserted from the upper part of a lance body 7, is disposed. The tip part of the gas supplying tube 17 is connected with the nozzle 10 for secondary combustion. On the way of the gas supplying tube 17, an expanding/shrinking mechanism 15 for absorbing thermal expansion, is arranged. Further, the gas supplying tube 17 is fitted to the inside of the outermost tube 14 through a sliding mechanism 16 having a sliding function for absorbing the vibration of the lance body. The development of the crack and the strain of the gas supplying tube 17 caused by the thermal expansion difference is restrained, because the elongation is scarcely developed with cooling water 20 surrounding this tube by arranging the gas supplying tube 17 for secondary combustion in the cooling water passage 13 in the inside of the outermost cylinder 14.
