    • PURPOSE: To increase the output of a heating apparatus and reduce sizes thereof by disposing in an intermediate portion of a pipe or a duct for supplying gas to be heated a fiber sintered mat, which has a circular cylinder shape formed conformingly to the shape of the piping or the duct, so as to arrange a combustion means having a combustion face on an inner surface. CONSTITUTION: Premixed gas (B) fed through a pipe 1 passes between an outer shell 2 and a baffle 3 and is supplied to a cooling portion 4 comprising a mounting member 6b at both ends of a circular cylindrical fiber mat 7 so as to cool the mounting member 6b and the premixed gas (B) is preheated. The preheated premixed gas (B) flows between the baffle 3 and the fiber mat 7 and is made under the static pressure to pass through clearance in the mat 7 and reaches an inner surface of the circular cylinder which constituted a combustion surface. At this moment, the premixed gas (B) is made to burn and combustion is completed on the surface of the fiber mat 7 before high temperature combustion gas is ejected into gas to be heated. Because the fiber mat 7 can carry out combustion of the premixed gas at a high intensity on the surface thereof, a high output of the burner 20 can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To raise tracking accuracy by calculating a diameter of a coil to be wound, from measured values of a speed, thickness, etc. in case the tail end part of a rolling material passes through the final rolling stand, and presetting this calculated value to a preset counter every time. CONSTITUTION:A speed, thickness and a roll diameter of a rolling material 3 in case the tail end part of the rolling material 3 passes through a final rolling stand 1 are measured by use of a thickness meter 12, etc. Basing on this measured value, a diameter of a coil wound to a mandrel 6 in this case is calculated. Subsequently, the calculated value of the coil diameter is preset to a preset counter 11 every time until the tail end part of the rolling material 3 passes through the final stand 1 and winding of the rolling material 3 to the mandrel 6 is completed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heat efficiency and flame holding effect, and reduce utility for cooling and hence simplify an apparatus and reduce the cost by providing a passage for supplying premixed gas of a gas fuel along a mounting member for fixing a combustion surface, and cooling a flange for pressing a burner outer shell and a combustion mat. SOLUTION: A fiber sintered mat 7, i.e., a fiber mat is fixed with a flange 5 of a burner body and a mat press flange 6 outside the burner. Premixed gas of air and fuel gas is introduced through a supply pipe 1, and is supplied to a cooling passage 4 of a mat holding flange part after passage between an outer shell 2 and a baffleplate 3, and further strikes the flange 5 and the mat holding flange 6 to cool those members while being preheated. The premixed gas flows between the baffleplate and the fiber mat 7 and passes through a gap in the fiber mat 7 with static pressure, and reaches a combustion surface 7a. The premixed bas is there combusted and completes the combustion on the surface of the fiber mat for injection as high temperature gas.

    • PURPOSE:To surely prevent a stress-corrosion-crack of a tank and pipes etc., due to dissolved oxygen gas in high temperature water, by preventing oxygen gas in the air from dissolving into a high temperature water by means of feeding the previously deaerated high temperature water to a tank which is covered by a floating roof on the water in the tank. CONSTITUTION:High temperature water 2 with less dissolved oxygen by previous deaeration is fed into a tank 1 through a conduit pipe 6. Consequently the high temperature water 2 level rises in the tank 1, then the air corresponding to the raised water level according to the fed volume is discharged through a vent-pipe 5 in the air. The high temperature water 2 level lowers in the tank 1 as the water is discharged through a delivery pipe 7. Consequently the air corresponding to the lowered water level according to the delivered volume flows in the tank 1 through the vent-pipe 5. As the high temperature water 2 surface in the tank 1 is covered P by a floating roof 8, oxygen gas dissolved in the high temperature water does not almost increase. Therefore, stress- corrosion-cracks of the tank and pipes etc., due to the dissolved oxygen are surely prevented.
