    • PURPOSE:To secure rigidly along the longitudinal direction with uniform force, when placing the delay wave circuit structure in a cylindrical casing, by inserting the casing, dielectic member supporting rod and the spiral member without causing the friction thereby eliminating the breaking, bending of said rod, disturbance of the deformation pitch, etc. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical casing 5 is applied with the uniform external force longitudinally at three points separated by 120 deg. as shown by the arrow thus to be deformed. Then the dielectric member supporting rods 2, 3, 4 are arranged by means of proper zig at the inside of the casing 5 projected from the outer-circumferential face such that they will contact with the inner face of the casing 5. The spiral member 1 is secured while being wound such that the outer-diameter will be slightly shorter than the inner-diameter to be formed by the deformed casing 5 and three supporting rods 2, 3, 4. Said member 1 is inserted into the casing 5 equipped with said rods 2, 3, 4 and when removing the zig fixing the spiral member 1 the outer-circumference of the spiral member 1 and the rods 2, 3, 4 will contact tightly. Under such state the external force to be applied on the outer-circumferential section of the casing 5 is removed.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the radiation efficiency of a structure by providing guiding grooves for dielectric supporting rods on the inside surface of an enclosing container to prevent the torsion of rods and enlarge the contact area with the enclosing container, where the slow-wave circuit is fixed by heat shrinkage of the enclosing container. CONSTITUTION:Circular grooves 7, 8, 9 for guiding dielectric supporting rods 2, 3, 4 provided on the periphery of a coil 1 are provided on the inside surface of a cylindrical enclosing container 6 with an interval of 120 degree. Dielectric supporting rods 2, 3, 4 are provided on the periphery of the coil 1 with an interval of 120 degree and cooled, and the rods are inserted into the grooves 7, 8, 9 of the heated enclosing container 6 and cooled slowly. Thus the unevenness of force exerted on the coil 1 due to the torsion of the dielectric rods 2, 3, 4 is eliminated, and the heat generation due to the eccentricity and deformation of the coil 1 is prevented because of enlarged contact area of the supporting rods 2, 3, 4 with the enclosing container 6, and internally generated heat due to other causes is also transferred to the enclosing container 6 efficiently.
