Next, the detecting signal from the detecting electrostricitive element 15 is converted to a voltage signal by a capacity to voltage converter 24 and a deviation detector 26 generates a deviation signal according to a deviation between the target value from a target value calculating circuit 25 so that the voltage generated by a voltage increasing and decreasing circuit 27 is increased and decreased according to the deviation signal and a driver 28 applies the driving power to the set 11 of the laminated electrostrictive elements. When the generated power reaches the target value, the output voltage of the circuit 27 becomes constant to maintain the target driving force, whereby executing the precise control of the driving force.

The sliding piston 2 supplies oil through an oil supply path 34 according to vehicle speed, and the oil is discharged through an oil discharge path 35 at the wiper inverting position. Pressing force of wiper against the window face is increased under high speed running so as to prevent floating of wiper, and the pressing force is decreased when the wiper is inverted so as to decrease inverting noise.

A control section 4 is arranged in an oil supply path 34 for the sliding piston 2, where oil supply is increased under high speed running to make the sliding piston 2 operatable so as to increase the pressing force of wiper against the window face through the rod 21 and the end portion W1 of the wiper arm thus preventing floating of wiper under high speed running.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the automatic reversing performance of the captioned motor by extending in the circumferential direction the part, which abuts on a shaft-shaped valve body of a vane body, so that the vane body is formed into an anchor shape. CONSTITUTION:A rod part 23 is provided in a radial and in an extended manner at a cylindrical, base part 21, which is fixed to the outer periphery of a revolving shaft 17, and an arm part 24 is provided in the circumferential direction at the tip end of the rod part 23, so that a vane body 20 is formed into an anchor shape. Thus, a shaft-shaped valve body 28 can be shortened by the length of the arm part 24 of the anchor-shaped vane body 24 and the oscillating angle theta of the revolving shaft 17 can be kept at the same angle as before. As a result, pinching force and deformation, both of which are caused by the unbalance in the oil pressure, can be reduced even at the time of a high load. Accordingly, sliding performance can be enhanced, and good, automatic reversing performance can be ensured even at the time of a high load.
