    • PURPOSE:To favorably seal one flow-out port when the other flow-out port is in a valve opening position by providing a seal valve which is energized toward the flow-out port side by the fluid pressure in a pressure chamber connected to a flow-in port. CONSTITUTION:As an operating lever 11 is rotatingly operated, a valve body 2 is rotated around an O axis thereby, varying the opening area of the through hole 2g of the valve body 2 to regulate a flow rate. Then the valve body 2 is in a valve opening position with respect to one flow-out port 6 while in a valve closing position for closing the other flow-out port 7, in a pressure chamber 4 provided opposite to the other flow-out port 7, a seal valve 3 is energized toward the flow-out port 7 side by the fluid pressure in the pressure chamber 4. Due to the movement of this seal valve 3, the flow-out port 7 is closed preventing the flow-in of fluid through the flow-out port 7.

    • PURPOSE:To improve draining property and heat releasing performance by a method wherein extended parts, which are extended downwardly from the ends of the crest or the trough of corrugate fins for a heat exchanger constituted of tubes and corrugate fins laminated in up-and-down direction. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger for the refrigerant condenser of a refrigerating cycle is provided with a core unit, constituted of tubes for the passage of refrigerant and corrugate fins 3 which are laminated alternately in up-and-down direction, and a pair of headers, connected to respective tubes 2, at both sides of the core unit. The fin 3 is constituted of a thin aluminum sheet formed so as to have wavy form, in which crests 3a and troughs 3b are repeated alternately and, in this case, extended parts 3C, extending downwardly from the ends of respective troughs 3b, are formed properly. According to this method, water, stagnated in contacting parts between the tubes 2 and the troughs 3b and the like, can be drained downwardly and easily when water is sprayed onto the refrigerant condenser 1 in order to increase heat releasing performance.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the structure of a header for a heat exchanger, which is easy to manufacture and provided with a high pressure resistant property. CONSTITUTION:A header is provided with a constitution wherein a tank material 7 having arc section is opposed and connected to a tube mounting material 9 having a section flatter than the arc section as a whole. The clad layer of brazing material, formed on the surfaces of the tank material 7 and the tube mounting material 9, flows into jointing places whereby both materials are brazed. The tube mounting material 9 is provided with a section having the same radius of curvature constituted of the same inner diameter R2 same as the inner diameter R2 of the tank material 7 at both sides of a part connected to the tank material 7 while the same material 9 is provided with the section 19 of a large radius of curvature constituted of an inner diameter R1 larger than the inner diameter R2 of the tank material at an intermediate part pinched by the sections 17 of the same radius of curvatures. The connecting positions P of the parts 17 of the same radius of curvature and the section 19 having the larger radius of curvature are positioned at the inside of the terminal end of a tube 3. Flat parts 15, having a small height, are formed on the inner peripheral surfaces neighboring to the connecting surfaces 13 of the tank material 7 while the other flat parts 21 having a small height are formed on the inner peripheral surfaces neighboring to the connecting surfaces of the tube mounting material 9.

    • PURPOSE:To permit the supply of sufficient flux into connecting parts after a plate header is incorporated into a tank header in a stacked type heat exchanger having the header of divided type and obtain good connecting as a result. CONSTITUTION:In a divided type header consisting of a plate header 6, a tank header 7 and a cap, a multitude of vertical grooves 10, worked by knurling, are formed on both surfaces and end faces of the plate header 6, which become brazed surfaces to the tank header 7. The coating of flux to the header is effected under a condition that the plate header 6 is incorporated into the tank header 7 and when the flux is supplied into the connecting part of both parts from outside, the flux can be supplied to the inner part of the connecting parts by the capillary phenomenon of the vertical grooves 10. Upon brazing, the flow of molten brazing material is improved in the same manner and all of the connecting parts are filled with the brazing material.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease in a pressure resistant strength of a header due to a defective brazing in a laminated type heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A cover 7a of a cap 7 is engaged with an inner peripheral side of a cylinder 6 formed of a header plate 4 and a header tank 5. The inner peripheral surface of the cylinder 6 is formed of a smoothly curved surface having no step at a connecting part of the plate 4 to the tank 5. The cover 7a of the cap 7 has a profile corresponding to the inner peripheral shape of the cylinder 6, and the outer peripheral surface is formed of a smoothly curved surface similarly to the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder 6. A pair of pawls 9, 10 are provided at opposite positions of the plate 4 side and the tank 5 side on the outer peripheral edge of the cap 7. The pawls 9, 10 have elasticity. The outer peripheries of the plate 4 and the tank 5 are so provided as to press toward the inside of the cylinder 6 in the state that the cover 7a of the cap 7 is engaged with the cylinder 6.
