摘要： PURPOSE:To provide superior weldability and resistance to environmental corrosion, by properly blending, further, either or both of Ca and REM with a steel which is low-C and low-S and in which Cr, Ni, Mo, Si, Mn, N, and Al are properly blended and by subjecting the above steel to casting and then to heat treatment under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The steel has a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.002% Ca and >0.001%, in total, of REM such as La, Ce, etc., and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and further satisfying Ni+30C+0.5Mn=5.5-9 and Cr=Mo+1.5Si=24-30. A steel material cast from this steel is heated to 1,000-1,100 deg.C and then cooled through the range of 900-500 deg.C at an average cooling rate of >=10 deg.C/min.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain selective assembling among arms and pins and to enhance the quality in manufacturing crank shafts of various kinds and sizes, by fitting a crank pin into a hole, which is provided in advance in a crank arm, and welding the fitted part before assembling. CONSTITUTION:A crank arm 1 and a crank pin 3 are manufactured separately. To manufacture a crank shaft, the pin 3 is inserted into a hole, which is provided to the crank arm 1 in advance at the position for the pin 3 first, and then the joined part is welded into one body. An alternative method is not provide a circular arc part, which is concentric with the crank pin 3, to the position for the pin for installation of the crank pin 3 and the to weld the joined part. In addition, the shape of the crank pin 3 is formed in such a manner that different-diameter-parts are provided at both ends of the pin 3 and that the diameter 'a' of the welded part is larger than that 'b' of the working part. With this contrivance, since the welded part is situated at a position apart from the surface of the crank pin working part, the surface of the working part is not affected by the welding. In addition, the welded length is lengthened, thereby lowering the stress per unit length.

CONSTITUTION:The steel contg., by weight 5, 0.02-0.25% C, =1050 deg.C. The steel is then subjected to hot working at 850-1000 deg.C and at least at 20% cumulative draft and is then subjected to accelerated cooling at the fastest possible point of the time. The steel is further tempered at 550-750 deg.C, by which the heat resisting steel is produced. The heat resisting steel having good creep rupture strength and excellent toughness is thus obtd.
