    • PURPOSE:To dehydrate a concentrated waste liquid produced in a nuclear facility to contrive the sharp volume reduction of a radioactive waste by performing electric permeation by the use of a vessel made of metal having electrodes made of metal capable of allowing water to flow. CONSTITUTION:A vessel 2a made of metal has electrodes 2b made of metal capable of allowing water to flow. A filter medium 3b is stuck on a supporter 3a made of metal and a filter assembly 3 is inserted in the vessel made of metal. An electrode 2b made of metal is hollow-cylindrical and the filter assembly 3 is inserted therein so as not to touch. An insulator 4 electrically isolate the filter assembly 3 from the vessel 2a made of metal. The electrode 2b made of metal and the supporter 3a made of metal become electrodes, and water and a suspended solid in the waste liquid are electrically charged respectively to move to separate electrodes so as to separate water from the solid by applying d.c. voltage on this. The moved water is collected in a water collection tank 5 through the filter assembly 3 to drain out of the outside.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the precise measurement of a flow rate of a liquid of low electric conductivity, such as pure water, by a method wherein a pipe made of plastic and having an outer surface coated with an electrode is surrounded by a pipe electrode made of metal and a potential between them is measured. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 2 made of plastic and having an outer surface coated with an electrode is surrounded by a pipe electrode 3 made of metal so that they are spaced at a prescribed gap from each other. An electrometer 5 is connected between the pipe 2 and the electrode 3 through a lead wire 6, while a shield 4 preventing the disturbance at the time of measurement of a potential is provided. A flowmeter 1 thus prepared is disposed in a piping, and a flow rate is measured by measuring a potential generated between the pipe 2 and the pipe electrode 3 being caused by the mutual rubbing of insulators. This method enables the precise measurement of the flow rate of a fluid of low conductivity, such as pure water (such as desalted water), which can not be measured by a conventional electromagnetic flowmeter. In addition, the structure is made simple and the installation can be performed simply.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a reusable miniaturized filter wherein trapping capacity of sludge is large and both backwash and discharge of sludge stuck on a hollow yarn membrane filter are enabled by providing a cover body having an inlet nozzle and an outlet nozzle and providing a cylindrical body which perforates both the cover body and a tube plate for fitting the hollow yarn membrane filter. CONSTITUTION:A tube plate 3 for fitting a filter is fixed to the inside of a vessel main body 1 of a filter 10 wherein a hollow yarn membrane filter 4 is attachably and detachably fitted thereto by a screwing means or the like, and a small-diameter cylinder 5 which forms an inlet nozzle 5a in a cover body 2 and perforates the tube plate 3 and elongates down to the bottom of the vessel is provided and furthermore an outlet nozzle 8 is provided to the central part of the cover body 2 and an injection nozzle 9 is provided to the outer peripheral part thereof. Water to be treated which is fed from an atomic power establishment or the like is introduced through the inlet nozzle 5a and sludge is removed by the filter 4 and treated water is discharged through the outlet nozzle 8. When filter function is reduced, back pressure is imparted to a hollow yarn membrane 4a by an air compressor to peel a stuck cladding and water contg. sludge is discharged through the inlet nozzle 5a together with the air current.
