    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aquatic feed improved in feed efficiency and reduced in fish flour produced, by effectively utilizing precious resources, such as, fish flour or fish oil used for aquatic feed and digging up undeveloped low-cost biomass material in an aquaculture field to be put to practical use of the feed so as to achieve a technology for suppressing rise in feed cost, and contributing to stabilization of management by aquaculture industry traders. SOLUTION: The aquatic feed improved in feed efficiency and reduced in fish flour is developed through finding that a bamboo subfamily plant component has the effect of markedly improving the efficiency of aquatic feed for the use of the leaves and the stalks of the bamboo subfamily plant as the raw material, and contains at least one kind of the whole dry substance, the extracted substance and extracted residue or its dry substance, and also finding that the bamboo subfamily vegetable component results in reducing fish flour compound ratio in the feed, and is effective in utilization of the safe plant feed raw material.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject feed capable of giving a cultured fish having a fresh bright red color tone close to that of a natural fish and especially suitable for the coloring finish of a sea bream by blending a feed incorporated with xanthophyll-based pigment such as astaxanthine, etc., with a suitable amount of vitamins C and E. SOLUTION: This feed for a red colored fish is obtained by blending (A) a feed containing astaxanthine singly or one or more kinds of pigments selected from astaxanthine, tunaxanthine (3,3'-dihydroxy-ε-carotene), rutin, β-carotene, zeaxanthine and canthaxanthine, with (B) 100-400mg% vitamin C and (C) 30-60mg% vitamin E. The content of the component (A) is generally 10-80ppm. Further, in order to approach the color of a cultured sea bream to a fresh bright red color tone of a natural sea bream, at least the objective feed is preferably fed for 60-90 days and fed preferably for the period obtained by a trial calculation based on the delivery date of the sea bream.
