    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer insulating tube which prevents a progress of separation from an incomplete bonding part, eliminate accumulation of rainwater, improves insulation reliability in a connection part and improves insulation reliability for a long period, by providing a main bonding part formed by a bonding surface parallel to the center axis of the polymer insulating tube in the connection part. SOLUTION: A polymer insulating tube 1 is constituted by an FRP tube 2 and a silicon rubber-made casing part 3, it is constituted by a casing barrel 4 and an umbrella part 5 covering a peripheral part total unit of the FRP tube 2. A casing part 3-1 is formed on the FRP tube 2, successively, a casing part 3-2 connected by the casing part 3-1 and a connection part 6 is formed. The connection part 6 is formed by a main bonding part 7 formed by a bonding surface parallel to a center axis of the polymer insulating tube 1 and slopes 8-1, 8-2. In this way, even when a fine incomplete contact part is generated in a peripheral surface of the connection part 6, its progress can be prevented, insulation reliability of the connection part 6 is improved, the polymer insulating tube 1 improving insulation reliability for a long period is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the scattering of fragments owing to the inner pressure when an insulator tube is broken, to prevent to strike peripheral apparatuses or to hurt a human being or an animal thereby, and to increase the safety, by specifying the tensile strength of an elastic insulator layer attached to the inner surface of a porcelain insulator tube. CONSTITUTION:At the outer peripheral surfaces of the upper and the lower ends of an insulator tube 1, flange metals 2 and 3 are contacted and fixed with a cement 4, and at the inner surface 1a of the insulator tube 1, an urethane rubber layer 5 is attached as an elastic insulator layer. When the urethane rubber layer 5 is attached, an adhesive such as an urethane type adhesive is spread at the inner surface 1a of the insulator tube 1, and an urethane rubber solution is poured in or sprayed over the inner surface 1a of the insulator tube 1 to adhere and form. And the tensile strength of the urethane rubber layer 5 at a normal temperature condition is made 150kgf/cm , and the thickness is set 2mm or more. As a result, the kinetic energy of scattering the fragments by the inner pressure when the insulator tube 1 is broken can be suppress and the safety is increased.

    • PURPOSE:To dissolve the non-uniformity of potential distribution due to an asymmetrical electric field and provide a smaller size and higher reliability by forming a high resistance conductive layer on the inside face of a through-hole in which a ZnO element is stored. CONSTITUTION:A high.resistance conductive layer 8 formed on the inside face of a through-hole 2 formed in a shade 1 has the upper end connected to an upper electrode 4 and the lower end connected to a lower electrode 6. A resistance value for the layer 8 is limited not to carry 1MA or more therein when voltage equevalent to the varistor voltage of a ZnO element which is stored in the hole 2 is applied thereto. Material for the layer 8 is desirably tin oxide group conductive material in consideration of electric corrosion restraint, heat, heat escape phenomenon prevention and no variation of the resistance value in a manufacturing process. This is applied and baked to the inside face of the hole to be formed as the high resistance layer 8, so that the non-uniformity of potential distribution on the inside face of the hole 2 is improved and share voltage in a cavity between the inside face of the hole 2 and the outer periphery of the ZnO element is reduced. As a result, no local discharge occurs there, the larger size of an insulator mainbody to improve its insulating strength is avoided and reliability is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the most excellent dirt withstand voltage characteristic by providing a covering having such a shape as large diameter shed portions and small diameter shed portions are alternatively arranged, and setting the ratio of a surface leak distance to the axis direction unit length of the covering axis so as to stay in a range of specific values. SOLUTION: A composite insulator with double-size shed portions is composed of a core member and a covering which is provided on the outer peripheral face of the core member and is made of insulation high molecular material. The covering has such a shape as large diameter shed portions and small diameter shed portions are alternatively arranged via sheaths, and the ratio 1/p of a surface leak distance (l) to the axis direction unit length (p) of the covering is in a range of 4.3 to 5.0. In a composite insulator with double-size shed portions, a straight line distance combining the radial direction outside tip of a large diameter shed portion and the radial direction outside tip of a small diameter shed portion (distance between shed tips (c)) is 32 to 40mm. Since a l/p value can be set in a proper range, the use amount of covering rubber for obtaining the maximum dirt withstand voltage becomes proper.
