    • PURPOSE:To obtain an arrester in which broken pieces, etc., are not discharged even if a nonlinear resistor is broken due to a lightning surge by alternately arranging a nonlinear resistor and a connecting electrode provided with an annular groove on its outside in an insulating vessel, and filling an insulating layer having a plenty of elasticity and formed by filling in the vessel in the groove. CONSTITUTION:A nonlinear resistor 14 and a connecting electrode 15 provided with an annular groove 15a on its outside are alternately arranged in an insulating vessel 1, and an insulating layer 11 having a plenty of elasticity and formed by filling in the vessel 1 is filled in the groove 15a to hold the resistor 14 between the electrodes 16. For example, a trapezoidal annular groove 15a is provided at the outside between the electrodes 15, the resistor 15 held by engaging an elastic insulation tube 18 is so held as to contract the opening edge at the side face of the groove 15a, a similar insulation tube 19 is also engaged with an arc shielding electrode 16 to be integrated, arranged in a container 1a of an arresting unit 10, and enclosed in the layer 11 formed by filling insulator such as rubber, etc., in an air gap of the container 1a to seal a porcelain insulator 1.

    • PURPOSE:To aim at the maintenance of sealing stability by interposing a metallic plate electrode between an insulative ceramics cylinder and a conductive ceramics electrode, heating their mutual interspace into adhesion, and hermetically sealing the discharge space. CONSTITUTION:A gap unit 1 is provided with an insulative ceramics cylinder 2 and a conductive ceramics electrode 3, and each conductive ceramics electrode 3 is set up at both ends of the insulative ceramics cylinder 2. In an interval between the insulative ceramics cylinder 2 and the conductive ceramics electrode 3, there are provided with the first metallic plate electrode 4 that projected in a bore 2a of the cylinder 2 and solidly installed a discharge end 4a forming a discharge gap G in the interspace, and the second metallic plate electrode 5 that installed a heat conducting fin 5a being installed as superposed on the first metallic plate electrode 4 and projected outward, in the shape of being held in between. The insulative ceramics cylinder 2, the conductive ceramics electrode 3 and both first and second metallic plate electrodes 4 and 5 are all heated into adhesion as one body by means of glass fusion, brazing or baking of silver paste, or the like. With this constitution, a hermetically sealed state is stably maintainable.
