    • PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure-sensitive recording body being excellent in the property of color development and the property of fastness of a colored image, free from a coloring stain and the like and also excellent in desensitization appropriateness, by using a specific diarylmethane compound in a state of being contained in a specific microcapsule and also by combining it with a specific coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:A pressure-sensitive recording body utilizes the color reaction of a colorless or light-colored basic material with a coloring agent. In this case, at least one kind of diarylmethane compound out of the ones expressed respectively by general formulas shown separately is used as a basic dyestuff. In each of the formulas, R1 to R4 denote alkyl groups of C1 to C5 or the like respectively, R5 and R6 hydrogen atoms or the like and R7 an alkoxy group of C1 to C4 or a benzyl group which may be replaced by a halogen atom, or the like, respectively. The basic dyestuff is contained in a synthetic macromolecular microcapsule of which the average particle size is 3 to 15mum and the average film thickness 0.1 to 0.7mum. As for the coloring agent, an active viscosity mineral containing a silicon oxide (SiO2) of 65 to 80wt.% is used.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance a shelf stability of a recording image and prevent a color forming contamination and a change or fade of a printing color by a method wherein a specific diarylmethane compound is used as a basic dye and encapsuled in a specific microcapsule, and a specific activated clay mineral is used as a color developer. CONSTITUTION:In a pressure-sensitive recording body, a color reaction of a colorless or light-colored basic dye with a color developer is used. In this invention, as the basic dye, a diarylmethane compound shown by a separate general formula is used. In addition, the basic dye is encapsuled in a microcapsule made of a polyurethane resin and/or a polyurea resin with a 3-15mum average particle diameter and a 0.1-0.7mum average film thickness. Furthermore, as the color developer, an activated clay mineral containing 65-80wt.% silicon oxide is used. In the separate general formula, R1-R4 each represents a 1-5C alkyl group or benzyl group, R5 and R6 each represents a hydrogen atom or the like, and R7 represents a 1-5C alkyl or the like.

As a result, the pressure-sensitive recording material imparting a developed color image excellent in light fastness, water resistance and chemical resistance is obtained.

CONSTITUTION:A predetermined amount of an active clay substance such as acid clay, active clay or zeolite is dispersed in water along with an adhesive to prepare a developer coating solution. Separately, a predetermined amount of a leuco auramine compd. with an average particle size of 3-15mum represented by formula I (wherein R1-R4 are a 1-4C alkyl group or a benzyl group and R5 is a 1-12C alkyl group) or formula II (wherein R6-R9 are a 1-4C alkyl group and R10 is a phenyl group) is dissolved in a hydrophobic medium as a core substance and a polyurea resin is mixed with the resulting solution to prepare a microcapsule coating solution. The developer coating solution is applied to a support such as paper and dried to form a developer film and the microcapsule coating solution is applied to the other surface of the support and dried to form a microcapsule film with a thickness of 0.1-0.7mum.
