SOLUTION: In the cell for spectrophotometry, a cylindrical sample chamber (X) for injecting an observation sample is arranged at the center; a reaction light incidence window section (1), where reaction light enters is formed at one side of a spectral cell body (Y) and a reaction light emission window section (2) for emitting reaction light, is formed at the side of the spectral cell body (Y) that opposes the reaction light incidence window section (1); at the same time an observation light incidence window section (3) for applying observation light is formed on the other side of the spectral cell body (Y) that crosses orthogonally between the reaction light incident window section (1) and the reaction light emission window section (2) and an observation light emitting window section (4) for emitting observation light is formed at the side of the spectrum cell body (Y), that faces the observation light incidence window section (3); and the observation light incidence window section (3) and the observation light emitting window section (4) are arranged, so at that approach the reaction light incidence window section (1).

SOLUTION: This method for continuously producing the peptides and/or the amino acids from the protein at a high speed, comprising continuously hydrolyzing the protein of substrate introduced into a reactor in a flow type reaction device comprising a substrate-feeding line for feeding the substrate, a preliminarily heating oven into which high temperature hot water is supplied, a reaction oven for thermally reacting the reaction solution, and a cooling section for cooling the reaction solution is characterized by continuously reacting the protein of substrate in supercritical water at a pressure of >=22.05 MPa and a temperature of >=375 deg.C or in high pressure hot water close to the supercritical point. The method for continuously hydrolyzing the protein comprises the above processes. Since giving a sample which is essentially different from a product obtained by a batch method and extremely scarcely contains the secondary and tertiary reaction products, the method is especially useful as a method for producing a physiologically active peptide, a preliminary treatment method for the evaluation analysis of an amino acid constitution, or the like.

SOLUTION: This process for producing the lactam is characterized by introducing an oxime as a reactional substrate and an acid into a reactional field under the conditions of the flowing high-temperature and high-pressure water or introducing the oxime into the flowing high-temperature and high-pressure water containing the acid, heating up the reactional substrate under the prescribed conditions of the high temperature and high pressure in a short time, carrying out a reaction, thereby suppressing a hydrolytic reaction of the oxime and efficiently synthesizing the lactam. Furthermore, the process for producing the lactam comprises enabling the efficient and continuous synthesis of the lactam under the conditions of the high-temperature and high-pressure water which are within the temperature range of >=250 deg.C and within the pressure range of >=15 MPa at a high speed by using the acidic catalyst.
