    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time counting wrist watch in which an acoustic membrane is provided to obtain an acoustic efficiency of a high level during operation of a time counting mechanism within a wrist watch case.
      SOLUTION: A time counting wrist watch (1) includes: an intermediate portion (4); a wrist watch case formed from a back cover (5) fixed detachably and attachably to the intermediate portion; and a wrist watch glass (2) for sealing the case. A wrist watch movement (20) is held on a plate (14) on the inside of the wrist watch case. The wrist watch movement is provided with a time counting mechanism which can be operated to produce sound at a predetermined time of day. At least one acoustic membrane (10) is disposed between the back cover (5) including at least one side opening (6) and the plate (14) of the wrist watch movement. The acoustic membrane is made of an amorphous metal or metal glass in order to radiate a sound produced by the time counting mechanism toward the outside of the case.
