The closed drain recovery system includes a steam introduction line 10 which introduces first flush steam in the drain tank 4 into the makeup water tank 7, a surplus drain introduction line 8 which introduces surplus drain from the drain tank 4 into the makeup water tank 7, and condensers 33, 39 which are provided at the makeup water line 7, and bring first flush steam and/or second flush steam produced from the surplus drain into contact with the makeup water in the makeup water tank 7, thereby condensing the first and second flush steam.
