    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ethanol in parallel with extraction of valuables from molasses or squeezed juice of sugarcane while achieving effective utilization of the molasses or the squeezed juice of sugarcane and economical extraction of valuable components by utilizing the produced ethanol for the extraction of the valuables.SOLUTION: The method for producing ethanol and a fraction, containing valuables from sugarcane, in parallel is used in a sugar factory or in an ethanol producing factory using sugarcane as a raw material. The method includes: (a) a step for diluting molasses from sugarcane with water and bringing the diluted molasses into contact with a synthetic adsorbent, being an aromatic resin, so as to adsorb a part of components; (b) a step for fermenting the non-adsorption fraction in order to produce ethanol; and (c) a step for using the obtained ethanol for elution of the adsorbed component of the step (a).
