      CONSTITUTION: A filament group molten and extruded through the spinning nozzle 2 is blasted with cooling air at a point downstream of the nozzle face within 50mm from the face. The temperature of the cooling air is lower than the melting point of the resin, the direction of air flow is deviated vertically by ≤45° from the horizontal direction, and the flow rate of the air is ≥5m/sec. The frost line of each filament 4 is controlled to ≤200mm from the face of the nozzle 2.

    • PURPOSE:To coat a metallic corrugated pipe with a resin with uniform film thickness, by a method wherein a specified let-out capstan is used, and the ratio of the speed of a take-up capstan to that of the let-out capstan is set to be a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:The let-out capstan 3 provided with elastic rolls 2 formed from an elastic material such as natural rubber, SBR or polyurethane and having a semicircular cross section conforming to the outside diameter of the corrugated pipe 1 is used. In the above mechanism, the ratio of the speed of the take-up capstan 8 to that of the let-out capstan 3 (take-up speed/let-out speed) is set to be 1-1.18.

    • PURPOSE: To produce a crimped yarn having high crimpness and usable for a variety of applications, with a simple apparatus, by cooling a group of spun filaments under specific condition.
      CONSTITUTION: A block nozzle 2 having a plurality of openings is attached to the main body 1of a die, and a group 3 of undrawn filaments is taken up with take-up rollers 5,6 at a speed of ≥5m/min. A slit bar 7 having a length of 3W19mm is placed to a side of the undrawn filament group 3 at a distance of ≤20mm from the nozzle face, and cooling air stream of about ≤204°C is blasted at a flow rate of 5W30m/sec at an angle within ±45° away from the horizontal plane. The group of the filaments are cooled and solidified separately within ≤100mm from the nozzle face, and drawn with the hot drawing stand 9 and the drawing rollers 10, 11. The crimpled drawn filament group 12 is wound round the winding shaft 13.
