    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent structure configured in such a manner that it is easily enlarged after being inserted into a blood vessel and is not easily contracted with excellent form retention after being enlarged, and to provide a method of manufacturing the stent structure.SOLUTION: The stent comprising a tube made of a fibrous structure, contains monofilaments which are formed of a thermally fusible polymer and whose monofilament diameter is cyclically changed in the length direction of the monofilaments. In the method of manufacturing the stent comprising the tube made of the fibrous structure, an unstretched monofilament formed by spinning the thermally fusible polymer or the aggregate of the monofilaments is stretched while being intermittently irradiated with a laser, the monofilament whose monofilament diameter is cyclically changed in the length direction of the monofilament is manufactured, and the tube made of the fibrous structure is manufactured from the monofilament.
