      SOLUTION: The separator for a battery comprises non-woven fabric containing half-aromatic polyamide fiber with superior oxidation resistance property, which is synthesized from dicarboxylic acid component, consisting of 60 mol% or higher aromatic carboxylic acid component and diamine component consisting of 60 mol% or higher aliphatic alkylene diamine with 6 to 12 carbons, aliphatic polyamide fiber having a shutdown capability, and fibrillated lyocell fiber having high denseness and liquid retaining performance.
