The new form control data 13 and the old form control data 14 have different formats.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and a communication program which can execute a control calculation task or the like without delay even when a large amount of data are transmitted to a specified communication port, and further which can execute communication processing of other communication ports without slowing down performance. SOLUTION: In communication interruption processing, a time for processing received data is estimated based on a type of the received data and a data length. Whether or not the integration of estimated values for a fixed period exceeds a preset threshold is determined. As a result, when it exceeds the threshold, an operation of a communication chip is stopped, and received data not processed is discarded.
