    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt conveyor with edge-dams capable of constantly conveying even a material to be conveyed which is difficult to be fine-grained and entangled with each other such as a cut tire without complicating the structures of the devices.
      SOLUTION: This tilt conveyor with edge-dams comprises a conveying path tilted upward from an inlet part toward an outlet part for conveying an article to be conveyed in small lump shapes. A plurality of edge-dams are installed on the conveying path. A hopper for accepting and storing the article to be conveyed is installed at the inlet side. A leveling dam for metering the conveyed amount by scraping the upper part of the article to be conveyed on the tilt conveyor is attached to the wake side of the hopper. A plurality of fall prevention dams for damming the article to be conveyed which falls during the conveyance are installed on the wake side of the leveling dam.

The header is provided with a purge gas lead-in port to lead in purge gas almost in a tangential direction.
