    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind power generation apparatus with an electric drive pitch control device capable of reducing the number of times of high-place work using a crane or the like even when a tooth of a ring gear is damaged, by efficiently using teeth of the ring gear of a wind turbine blade over the entire circumference.SOLUTION: In a wind power generation apparatus provided with an electric pitch drive device controlling a pitch angle by driving a pinion gear meshed with a ring gear 11A at a wind turbine blade 5A side by an electric motor, the wind power generation apparatus is provided with a meshing range variable mechanism changing a meshing range during pitch angle control of the ring gear 11A meshed with the pinion gear during the pitch angle control. The ring gear 11A includes a flange 11a formed at an upper end. The wind turbine blade 5A is provided with a wind turbine blade body 5a and a coupling ring 32. The meshing range variable mechanism is a fixing/fixing releasing switching means 30 provided between the flange 11a of the ring gear 11A and the coupling ring 32 of the wind turbine blade 5A.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind power generator that a gear body can be designed at a level of an on-driving maximum load without losing necessary strength and durability, when a rolling bearing including a fixed gear is used in a slewing ring bearing to engage with a driving gear.SOLUTION: The wind power generator is located on an upper end of a tower where a nacelle is vertically arranged on a base. The generator includes: a yaw driving device for yawing the nacelle; and/or a pitch driving device for controlling a pitch angle of a windmill blade. The yaw driving device and/or the pitch driving device are/is equipped with an engagement part between the slewing ring bearing 20 including an inner tooth or an outer tooth and a pinion gear, and a driving mechanism of the devices includes a clutch mechanism which slips by receiving larger input than the on-driving maximum load to the engagement part.
