The internal combustion pressure of the main machine 2 is restricted to be less than a prescribed value when a power generation stopping operation for stopping power generation by the power generator 3c, and a turbine nozzle area reducing operation for reducing a turbine nozzle passing area by the turbine nozzle passing area variable mechanism 3g are executed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem with a conventional container vessel: a reduced load capacity occurs because a funnel structure is installed on a top deck.
      SOLUTION: In exhaust gas equipment of a container vessel, on the stern side of an engine room, there are provided a pair of in-vessel exhaust gas pipe passages 20a formed along an external board broadside; a pair of top deck penetration exhaust gas pipe passage 20b which is joined to the respective in-vessel exhaust gas pipe passage and which penetrate through the top deck; a pair of stern-side exhaust pipe passage 20c joined to the respective top deck penetrating exhaust gas pipe passages and extending to the stern end; and an exhaust gas pipe 23 for a main engine and/or an exhaust gas pipe 24 for an auxiliary machine disposed inside the top deck penetrating exhaust gas pipe passage and the stern-side exhaust gas pipe passage, respectively, thereby to increase a load capacity.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine system which is enabled to operate a steam turbine and a steam turbine generator stably by avoiding an abrupt fluctuation of the quantity of steam produced in an exhaust gas boiler when a supercharger for an electric power generator is stopped or started in the electric power generation.SOLUTION: A water supply control valve 27 is controlled in an opening direction when the water level in a steam separator 12 becomes lower than an allowable water level range, and in a closing direction when the same exceeds the allowable water level range. A steam inlet control valve 22 is so controlled in response to the increase or decrease of a power generation amount by an electric generator 3c of a supercharger 3 as to compensate the power generation amount by a steam turbine generator 40. The allowable water level range of the steam separator 12 is widened when a supercharger power generation stop operation to stop the power generation by the power generator 3c of the supercharger 3 and/or the supercharger power generation start operation to start the power generation by the electric generator 3c of the supercharger 3 are performed.
