    • PURPOSE: To highly precisely measure the level of particulate objects whose bulk density is changed according to environmental conditions by calculating the level of the particulate objects based on capacitance between electrodes, resistance signals, and capacitance according to respective bulk density of the particulate objects measured beforehand. CONSTITUTION: Capacitance, bulk density, and resistance of particulate objects 2 under respective environmental conditions at the maximum level of an electrode 3 are measured beforehand, the capacitance plus density characteristics and the resistance plus density characteristics are stored in a capacitance/density characteristics memory 10 and a resistance/density characteristics memory 11 respectively. And output of a capacitance meter 4 to the bulk density of the particulate objects to be measured in the electrode 3 is transmitted to a level computer 7 via a capacitance/density/level converter 6. And the output of an ohmmeter 5 is transmitted to the level computer 7 via a resistance/density/ level converter 8 along with the output of the memory 11. The computer 7 calculates and outputs the level signal 12S of the particulate objects 2 based on these data.

    • PURPOSE:To detect the surface position of a fluidized-bed accurately by passing the cooling air into a spiral groove provided between an inner and an outer cylinders, and providing plural temperature sensors, each of which is provided with a thermocouple, at the tip of the outside cylinder and at an air inlet part of the inside cylinder with an optional interval in the height direction of a furnace wall. CONSTITUTION:The gas from a gas inlet 3 passes through a multi-hole plate 4, abd mixed with the fluidized material for combustion inside of a fluidized-bed 5, and discharged from a gas outlet 6 through an air layer 7. Temperature sensors S1-S5 are provided on the furnace wall in order, and a fin is formed in an outer cylinder 11, and a spiral air passage 14 provided between the outer cylinder 11 and the inner cylinder 12. The air inlet 13 is connected to a cooling pipeline 9, and an air outlet 15 is connected to an inlet 13 of the adjacent sencsor through the pipeline 9, and a thermocouple 17, 18, which are provided at the tip of the outer cylinder 11 and the inlet 13, are cooled by the air. Air temperature of the inlets of the sensors S1-S5 are measured by the thermocouple 18, and the measured value is input with a value measured by the thermocouple 17 to a signal processing device 8. The device 8 computes a difference between both the measured values, and obtains the temperature difference in order form the lowest sensor S1, and in the case where a difference between the adjacent sensor is at a specified value or more, existence of the surface R of the fluidized-bed 5 is judged.
