    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a defective product with high accuracy in a polycarbonate resin for an infrared filter.SOLUTION: A method for determining the infrared transmittance of a polycarbonate resin containing a dye absorbing visible light is provided that comprises the steps of: A) mounting pellets on a pellet conveyance part in a single-layer state where pellets are not overlapped; b) conveying the pellets to pass through an infrared transmission type inspection part consisting of an infrared projection device and a light receiving device; C) measuring the transmission amount of infrared rays to determine the quality of the pellets; and D) selecting the pellets according to the determination result, in which the pellet used for the determination is formed into a shape having a flatness of 0.25 to 0.9, a short diameter of 1 to 4 mm and a length of 2 to 4 mm.
