    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance rotary electric machine that can ensure heating in the vicinity of a hook during fusing, thereby stabilizing electrical connection between a coil and a commutator segment and preventing disconnection of the coil.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine includes a commutator 22 and a coil 23. The commutator 22 includes a commutator segment 40 having integrally formed hook 42 and sliding contact part 43. The coil 23 is connected to the hook 42 on one end side of in an axial direction. A brush 33 is slidingly contacted with the sliding contact part 43 on the other end side. The commutator 22 is configured by disposing a plurality of commutator segments 40 in a circumferential direction. The coil 23 is electrically connected to the hook 42 by fushing. Each of the commutator segments 40 includes a wall removed thin wall part 46 disposed between a front end portion 42a of the hook 42 and the sliding contact part 43 in the axial direction and in the vicinity of the front end portion 42a.

The rotor 5 has a magnet 7 fixed to a shaft 6 by adhesion or the like, rotatably supported with a bearing 9 retained in the bearing case part 8 provided to the frame 2 and with a bearing 12 retained in the bearing case part 11 provided to the housing 10. The frame 2 is formed by pressing a steel plate, configured to have an internal angle of less than 90° at the corner part connecting the circular pipe portion 2a and the bottom surface portion 2b.
