    • PURPOSE:To extend the dynamic range of measurement, by providing an elastic part in a part of a measuring tube to vary a measuring length. CONSTITUTION:In a water quality measuring instrument where a measuring light is made incident to a liquid 1 to be measured from a light source 2 to measure the turbidity, MLSS, VU, etc. of the liquid 1 to be measured, a part of a measuring tube 7a is formed with an elastic body. A luminous flux A from the light source 2 is irradiated to the liquid 1 to be measured. The transmission quantity of a luminous flux B is detected by the first photocell 1. A head part 8 provided with the light source 2 is moved freely in the transverse direction by the elasticity of the measuring tube 7a. Consequently, the measuring length is varied. A motor 9 is controlled by an operator 11 so that an output X of the first photocell 4 is always within a proper range, thereby moving the light source head 8, namely, adjusting the measuring length.

    • PURPOSE:To measure a water quality in plural positions with one measuring instrument, by providing a linear or plane light source and a scanning sensor on both sides of plural measuring tubes so that they face eash other. CONSTITUTION:A line sensor 8 has a linear visual field in the longitudinal direction of a bar-shaped light source 9 and is scanned in the direction of an arrow A. The bar-shaped light source 9 and the line sensor 8 are installed so as to face each other, and measuring tubes 7a, 7b, and 7c are interposed between them. In accordance with turbidity components of liquids 1a, 1b, and 1c flowed in measuring tubes 7a, 7b, and 7c, the output signal of the line sensor 8 is varied as shown in Fig. In Fig., a signal level Y is attained when the light from the bar-shaped light source 9 is made incident to the line sensor 8 as it is, and signal levels Xa, Xb, and Xc are attained when the light from the light source 9 is transmitted through liquids 1a, 1b, and 1c to be measured and is made incident to the line sensor 8; and turbidities in measuring tubes 7a, 7b, and 7c are calculated in an operator 10 on a basis of theses values.

    • PURPOSE:To correct precisely the injecting quantity of ozone always and to prevent surely sticking of a living organism, by circulating ozone-containing water to a UV meter cell and providing with a means for detecting the concentration of the ozone and integrating the effective ozone quantity contacting with the UV meter cell. CONSTITUTION:A water collecting apparatus is provided with an UV meter 3b. Further, ozone from an intermittent type ozone generator 10 and water contg. the ozone, are mixed by an ejector 9a and ozone-containing water is discharged from a water receiving vessel 5 through a valve 9d and sensors 3a, 3b etc. Then, the meter 3b is in a functioning state during a washing period and the ozone concentration in circulating water is measured continuously. Further, its output is inputted into an integral circuit and the integrated value of the concentration for the time is found. Hereby, the injecting quantity of the ozone is precisely revised always and sticking of a living organism is prevented surely.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the stroke of a lifting gear and enable to move a water examination instrument to a safe position by making the instrument rotatable round a rotation axis that is along the longitudinal direction of the arm of the instrument and the direction of lifting of the lifting gear. CONSTITUTION:A column 5 is installed vertically on the base 4 of a lifting gear, and this column is provided with the lift frame 7. On this lift frame 7 a worm shaft that is connected as one body to a rotating handle 12 and a gear box 11 that has a worm-wheel in itself. On the worm-wheel an arm 16 is fixed and a water examination instrument 3 is mounted through a bracket 9. Also the column 5 is supported by the base 4 through a bearing 17 and rotated by a lift handle 18. With this constitution, the water examination instrument 3 can be lifted up and down by the lift handle 6, and at the same time it can be also rotated round a rotation shaft that is along the longitudinal direction of the arm 16 by means of a rotating handle 22, and, further, since the column 5 can be rotated by the handle 18, the water examination instrument can be moved to any position.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability inside a control board without enlarging a dimension, in which plural terminal strips are arranged in line, by providing a movement supporting means for supporting each terminal strip freely to be moved. SOLUTION: An upper and a lower ends of a terminal strip 1 are fastened to a linear slit of a movement supporting tool 9, which is fixed to a fixing plate 10 of a control board, by a screw 15 and a nut 16. At this stage, at the time of housing a wiring in a wiring duct 3 or a duct 8 for external cable and at the time of connecting the wiring to the terminal board 1, the screw 15 is loosened, and the terminal board 1 is slide right and left along the slit so as to secure the working space. Consequently, since a necessity of previously providing a working space between each terminal strip is eliminated, a space between each terminal strip can be reduced. Since a wiring connected to the terminal strip 1 is arranged toward the depth of the control board, wiring to be arranged to a side of the terminal strip 1, in which a worker positions, is eliminated so as to improve the appearance of each wiring.
