    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a receiving device which most suitably synthesizes the orthogonal polarization components of radio waves arriving from an artificial satellite, that since the polarization shape of the received radio wave is affected by propagation path conditions and thus adversely affects communication or operation, a phase difference between right-handed polarized wave components and left-handed polarized wave components always need to be automatically adjusted to make them in-phase before amplitude synthesis for continuously stable reception.SOLUTION: The sum of squares of control voltages of two multiplier elements of the polar coordinate converter is made to be constant in order to prevent an amplitude fluctuation after amplitude synthesis or a tracking error signal from adversely affecting antenna control. Phase control is exercised by insertion control on a low signal quality polarized wave side, thereby continuously controlling the phase angle in orthogonal coordinates formed by the control voltages of two multipliers. Also, because a long axis momentary jump tends to occur even for a partial small fluctuation in the propagation path, a threshold XPD to prevent this jump is set, and when polarized signals equal to or less than the threshold XPD are amplitude-synthesized, the phase controlled side is turned on and off.
