      SOLUTION: The method for selecting a short-culm grassyspecies includes the following steps: a gene located proximal to the d60 gene existing in the second chromosome of rice and forming a chain with the d60 gene and a gene located proximal to Gal gene existing in the fifth chromosome thereof and forming a chain with the Gal gene are detected as DNA markers or gene markers, respectively, thus indirectly identifying the presence of the d60 gene and the Gal gene.
