    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium using, as a support medium, a plastic film having abated coating defects, excellent in terms of printing density and printing runnability via a thermal printer, and exhibiting high image stabilities against plasticizers and oils.SOLUTION: A plastic film is used as a support medium, whereas a thermosensitive recording layer and a protective layer provided as the outermost layer are configured in proper order atop the former, whereas an acrylic resin and a polyolefinic resin are included within this protective layer, whereas a metal chelate-type coloring component including, as main components, an electron acceptor and an electron donor each having a specified structure is included within the thermosensitive recording layer.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium which reduces coating defects, is excellent in printing density and print traveling property by a thermal printer, has good image water resistance without decoloration of printed information due to water and uses a plastic film as a support.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermosensitive recording medium which can prevent occurrence of coating defects while exhibiting usual performance for water resistance or the like required for such a thermosensitive recording medium, is excellent in printing density and print traveling property by a thermal printer and has good image water resistance without decoloration of printed information due to water by providing a thermosensitive recording layer and a protective layer as an outermost layer in this order by using a plastic film as a support, incorporating an acrylic resin and a polyolefin-based resin into the protective layer and incorporating a latex having a glass transition point (Tg) of 0°C or less into the thermosensitive recording layer as a binder.
