    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preload device of a rolling ball bearing which allows a preload spring to be easily handled and appropriately applies preload to the rolling ball bearing.SOLUTION: In a constant pressure preload structure 100 of a rolling ball bearing by a coil spring, the preload device includes a hollow elastic member, and two holders 103 inserted into openings at both sides of the elastic member, respectively. Each holder includes a flange part 106 configured to contact an end portion of the opening of the elastic member, into which the holder is inserted, to lock an extension of the elastic member in the elastic direction, and claw parts 104, 105 configured to engage with the other holder which is inserted through the opposite opening of the elastic member to lock separation from the other holder. The holders inserted from both sides of the elastic member are engaged to each other by the claw parts so that a length capable of applying a load required for the preload is held and the elastic member is exposed from the holders. The rolling ball bearing contacts the preload device only at an outer ring of the rolling ball bearing.

      SOLUTION: The brushless DC motor includes a stator 8 equipped with an insulator 12 covering and insulating a stator core 11, a rotor 9, and a circuit board 25, wherein the circuit board 25 is held by and fixed to the insulator 12. In the motor, the insulator 12 is equipped with a cylindrical part and an arm which extends radially outward from the cylindrical part and covers the stator core 11. An engaging part 14d, in which an engaging claw 14e is formed, is formed in the cylindrical part, and the circuit board 25 and an elastic member 26 are interposed between the cylindrical part of the insulator 12 and the engaging claw 14e, and the circuit board 25 is held by and fixed to the insulator 12.

The starting stability is secured due to the left-right asymmetrical structure of the salient pole 3. The waveforms of cogging torques caused from the salient poles 3 and 4 which are different in structure are shifted, whereby the cogging torques are canceled out and the value thereof is reduced.
