      SOLUTION: In the bead mount having a shaft-like electrode 15 welded to the bead glass 11 while inserted through the through-hole 12 formed in the bead glass 11, a continuous surface is formed on the through-hole 12 or the electrode 16 so that the clearance between the inner surface of the through-hole 12 and the circumferential surface of the electrode 16 at least at an opening end portion 13 from which the electrode 16 is derived of opening end portions 13 of the through-hole 12 is larger than the clearance between the inner surface of the through-hole 12 and the circumferential surface of the electrode 16 at an inner deep part 14 of the through hole 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package of a fluorescent lamp capable of packing a plurality of the fluorescent lamps so that an external electrode is not bent in the package of the fluorescent lamp formed by packing a plurality of straight tubular fluorescent lamps having the external electrode projecting into both ends of a body section.
      SOLUTION: This package of the fluorescent lamp is equipped with an intermediate holder 20 and an end protector 30. In the intermediate holder 20, a corrugated plate 22 having a valley section 23 for accommodating the body section 13 of the fluorescent lamp 10 is stuck on the one side face of a planar plate-like liner 21. In the end protector 30, a cover 31 surrounding the external electrode 12 is arranged in the same pitch as each valley section 23 of the corrugated plate 22 of the above intermediate holder 20 and the end edge 32 of this cover 31 is made to abut against the end face 11 of the above fluorescent lamp 10. Moreover, in the end protector 30, the same square-like corrugated plate as the corrugated plate 22 of the above intermediate holder 20 is stuck to the one side face of the planar plate-like liner 34, and the holder 30 is reversed upside down in relation to the intermediate holder 20.
