This can eliminate the high-frequency noise components of the output current and also can minimize the distortion of an output current by winding the auxiliary coil 16 on the terminal of the choke coil 17 and selectively canceling the high-frequency noise components of the output current of the second inverter 15, with the magnetic flux generated from a reverse phase current.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional combustion apparatus wherein, since a distance between a negative electrode to which a voltage is applied and a lower burner is approximately 10 cm and accordingly a voltage of approximately 10 kV or higher is required to sufficiently vary the angle of a flame, it is difficult to reduce the size of a power circuit and also it is difficult to secure insulation between a combustion apparatus body and the electrode.
      SOLUTION: This combustion apparatus comprises a combustion chamber 12, burners 13 and 14 installed in the combustion chamber, electrodes 22, 23, and 24 installed near the burners, and a power supply 16 for applying a voltage between the burners and the electrodes. The angle of the flames blown from the burners are varied by the application of the voltage from the power supply. Since the electrodes are disposed near the burners, the applied voltage required for varying the specified angles of the flames can be reduced to reduce the size of the power circuit and simplify a structure for insulating the electrodes from a combustion apparatus body 11.

      SOLUTION: This tooth observation device is constituted so as to have at least two kinds of light sources difference in wavelength for irradiating a tooth 1. The light sources 5 and 6 are arranged so as to irradiate the tooth 1 from a plurality of regions, and the tooth observation device is equipped with a camera 8 for photographing the reflected light 7 from the tooth 1. By this constitution, the tooth is irradiated with light with a specific wavelength from a plurality of places by changing over the light sources different in wavelength to discriminate a tooth of a health part (e.g., blue color) and that of an unhealthy part (carious tooth, plaque or the like) because the colors of the healthy and unhealthy parts are different to clearly observe the discrimination between both teeth.

      SOLUTION: This carious tooth detecting apparatus is provided with an irradiation means 10 for irradiating a tooth with light of a predetermined wavelength, a filter 14 for sorting out the wavelengths of light radiated from the tooth, an imaging means 15 for converting the light transmitting through the filter into electric signals, and an image display means 16 for displaying the state of the tooth from the imaging means as image information. The filter cuts out wavelength components of the irradiation light of the irradiation means 10 to remove reflected light of the irradiation wavelength and transmit only the fluorescence excited to a long wavelength side by the irradiation light out of the lights radiated from the tooth with the initial-stage carious part. This constitution displays the initial-stage carious part having the extremely small intensity of the fluorescence compared with that of the healthy part as a dark spot on the image so as to detect the initial-stage carious part.

The dc voltage supply 1 is composed of a flyback converter 7 and a flyback converter control part 22, and when reflected power increases and impedances are not matched, the output voltage of the dc voltage supply 1 is kept low by making the oscillation frequency of the control part of the flyback converter high so as to lower the output voltage of the flyback converter 7. Thereby, the highly safe high frequency heating arrangement alleviating loss generated in the high frequency inverter 9 and preventing thermal destruction from being caused, is realized even in a condition that impedance watching is not satisfied.

The filter 14 cuts out light having wavelength components of the light emitted from the irradiating means 10. More particularly, the filter 14 removes reflected light having the wavelength of the emitted light and passes only the fluorescence having an excitation wavelength longer than that of the irradiated light from among the light emitted from the tooth having an early carious part. With such a configuration, even an early carious part is displayed and detected as a dark spot on an image even though the intensity of fluorescence emitted from the early carious part is extremely small compared to that of fluorescence emitted from a healthy part.
