      SOLUTION: An external part of an image displaying area 15 of either a front panel 2 or a back panel 3 of the plasma display panel 1 is sealed in a state of being elastically deformed. By the above, the force pressing the front panel 12 to a back panel 3 through a separation wall 4 is reserved either in the front pane 12 or in the back panel 13 while keeping the image display area 15 almost flat. By the above, the gap is hardly generated between the front panel 3 and the back panel 4 even if the pressure difference between the outside and the inside of the PDP is small, consequently, the generation of the noise deemed to be caused by the gap can be reduced.
