The center position of the part located on the part feed section 1 is detected by the detecting section 4, the detection data are sent to the control section 5 which controls a mounting head 2, and the control section 5 records a distance between an initial position of the mounting head 2 and the center position of a part which the mounting head 2 is moved to basing on data outputted from the detecting section 4. The center positions of all the parts on the part feed section 1 are stored. The mounting head 2 is moved to the center position of the part stored in the control section 5 to pick up a part by suction and then moved again to a designated mounting point to mount a part.

    • PURPOSE:To realize a substrate transfer device which is able to cope with a 24-hour operation system and an FMS by a method wherein two or more mounting machines which mount electronic components on a substrate and a substrate feed-housing device provided between the mounting machines to feed or house the substrate are provided, and the board feed-housing device transfers an empty rack in and a full rack out. CONSTITUTION:When the mounting of electronic components on a substrate is finished by a mounting machine A, a substrate feed-housing device 10 judges that a substrate takeout signal is sent from the mounting machine A or not. When the signal is inputted, the device 10 judges whether a rack is fully loaded with substrate or not, and when more substrates can be loaded on the rack the substrates are loaded till the rack is fully loaded; when the rack is fully loaded, a conveyer is rotated, the substrates are housed after the rack is replaced. Then, when a substrate demand signal is inputted from a mounting machine B, substrates are sent to the mounting machine B. When the signal is not inputted, the device 10 is on standby for the input of a substrate takeout signal from a preceding process. Therefore, an operation for setting an empty rack can be dispensed with, so that a substrate transfer device of this design can be conductive to the realization of a 24-hour operation system.

    • PURPOSE:To set accurately an original point and at the same time to attair automatic correction of the original point by comparing the timing information given from an angle detector and the timing information stored in a memory. CONSTITUTION:An angle detector 3 is connected to a shaft 2 which interlocks a main can 1 to obtain the angle information. At the same time, the original point information detected by a photoelectric switch 5 and an original point detector 6 is supplied to a cycle timer device 4 to be stored there. For this control, a central processing unit CPU8 stores the original point information to a nonvolatile memory 10 based on a control program on the device 4 which is stored in a fixed memory 9 and the angle information on a machine. This stored angle information is compared with the angle information given from the detector 3. Then the control data is delivered to a controller 7.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce variance of the temperature in a substrate and to improve soldering efficiency by providing a heating element capable of controlling the radiant surface temperature arbitrarily in a heating chamber. CONSTITUTION:The substrate 4 mounted with chip parts on which solder for reflow is applied is placed on an endless conveyor 3 and made to travel in the direction shown by the arrow A and carried in the tunnellike heating chamber 2. At this time, radiant heating by an infrared heater 5 is allowed to correspond to packaging density of the parts mounted on the substrate and radiant heat of the heating element is controlled and the solder for reflow is heated above the eutectic temperature and molten and reflow soldering is performed. The radiant surface temperature of the heating element is detected by a temperature detector and based on a signal from the temperature detector, a control part controls it. By this method, preheating of material to be heated and heating of the solder for reflow are speeded up and the temperature difference caused by the size and quantity in number (density) of the material to be heated is reduced and efficiency of heating and reflow soldering is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To enable arbitrary selection of a set position and to permit high- reliable correction of a position, by a method wherein recognition marks are set in the vicinity of a part mounting position on a substrate, and through detection of the recognition mark, the detecting result causes correction of the position of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A pair of recognition marks 18 and 18 for correcting the whole of a substrate are set at the corner parts at both ends of a substrate 11. Since displacement in a pattern normally frequency occurs at a part A, a pair of recognition marks 19 and 19 are set in the vicinity of parts 14 and 15, intended to be mounted to the part A, independently from the recognition marks 18. In mounting of the parts, the position of the whole of the substrate 11 is corrected by means of the recognition marks 18 and 18 to mount the parts 16 and 17. In relation with the part A, through utilization of the recognition marks 19 and 19, further independent correction of a position is effected to mount the parts 14 and 15. After completion of independent correction, parts 12 and 13 are mounted based on the result of recorrection of the position as a whole.
