The heat-retention operation for changing the flow rate or temperature of the circulated water from the heating heat source part 8 is performed on the basis of a signal detected by the temperature detector 18, and the heat-retention operation is stopped when the flow rate detector 25 does not detect the flow of the hot water supply pipe 10 for a specific time.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize simple and effective instantaneous hot-water supply for heating a main hot water supply pipe 16 and a heat exchanger 21 with heating hot water, in an instantaneous water heater for heating supply hot water, using the heating hot water as a heating source.
      SOLUTION: This device has circulation heating circuits 19, 20 circulated with the heating hot water, and the main hot water supply pipe 16. The circulation heating circuits 19, 20 and the main hot water supply pipe 16 have a mutual heat exchanging relation therebetween, are layed with a heat insulating material 22 to be heat exchanged by the heat exchanger 21, and the heat exchanger 21 is constituted of a flat pipe 23 with supply hot water and heating water flowing tubes contacting each other. The main hot water supply pipe 16 is heatedly insulated by the heating hot water and layed, and is heated by the heating from the heating hot water also in the heat exchanger 21 to be hot water supplied from a hot water supply header 24, and the instantaneous hot water supply in a plurality of portions is thereby realized inexpensively by simple constitution.
