    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein antenna performance deteriorates in a portable field radio due to electromagnetic interaction, if a hand of a user approaches a resonant element improving call performance.
      SOLUTION: The field radio comprises an upper cabinet 1, a lower cabinet, a hinge section 2 for connecting the upper cabinet 1 and the lower cabinet 2 in freely rotatable fashion, a circuit board 6 provided within the lower cabinet 2 for having a ground pattern, and an antenna element 7 arranged at the upper cabinet 1 side and received unbalance power supply in relation to the ground pattern. Extended elements 41, 42, 51, and 52 are arranged and separated from the circuit board 6 in a predetermined spacing along the longitudinal direction of the circuit board 6. Both ends of the extended elements 41, 42, 51, and 52 are electrically connected to the ground pattern. Resonant elements 43 and 53 for shutting off predetermined frequencies are placed at a position of substantially half of the extended elements 41, 42, 51, and 52.

      SOLUTION: A hinge part 3 where a first case 1 is freely rotatably connected to a second case 2 includes a metallic hinge 31, and a hinge shaft 32. The metallic hinge 31 is electrically connected to an antenna element of the first case 1 and attached to the first case 1. The hinge shaft 32 keeps a prescribed interval with a ground pattern on a circuit board 23, is electrically connected to a power feeding part which is connected to a radio circuit 5, and is attached to the circuit board 23 of the second case. The first case 1 includes a current shunt element 15 for allowing an antenna current which flows in the neighborhood of an end close to the hinge part 3 of the antenna element. A dipole antenna is constituted of the antenna element, the hinge part 3, and the ground pattern on the circuit board 23.
