    • PURPOSE:To ignite very simply and also make the residue of unburnt material a very small amount by installing a heating element inserted in the groove of a base plate made of insulating material, heat-resisting material covering and fixing the surface of the element, and ventilating holes being communicating with the inside of the groove. CONSTITUTION:A spiral groove 3 is formed in the surface of a base plate 2 and a heating element 4 such as a nichrome wire or other is inserted into the groove. A protecting part 5 made of heat-resisting material covers and fixes the whole surface of the inside and outside of the element 4 to prevent it from contacting air. Ventilating holes 6 are placed at every proper location in the groove 3 and linked with the inside of the groove. The element 4 is wrapped with the heat-resisting material to prevent the heating element from deterioration caused by the high temp. burning of fuel and also ventilation into the inside of the groove is possible by the continuous opening of a number of the ventilating holes or the groove and therefore, the accomplishment of cooling action further improves the protecting effect of the heating element and the molten residual ash of solid fuel is not adhered and is able to be easily discharged.

    • PURPOSE:To rapidly remove produced ash and residue and extinguish fire, by a method wherein a support plate is slipped out by downward rotation and outward inclination to open the lower end of a combustion chamber, extinguishment or a drop or removal of ash and residue after combustion is effected, and the upper surface of the support plate is wiped off by a wiper. CONSTITUTION:A support plate 5 is supported in a horizontal manner to the under surface of a base bed 1 such that the one side is downwardly rotatably fixed to the base bed 1 by means of a support means 9 and the other side is engageable with a mounting hole 1a of the base bed 1 by means of an actuating means 14. A wiper 15 for wiping off the upper surface of the support plate 5 is situated in a manner that it can be reciprocated over the upper surface of the base bed in a range of given angle. After a stop of combustion of solid fuel or combustion thereof, ash on a heat insulating material 5' is dropped by rotating the support plate 5 for release once to contain the ash in an ash pan 30 or a extinguishing pot. By actuating the wiper 15 after the support plate is upward rotated for restoration to its original position, high temperature fused and adhered residue on the support plate 5 is scraped off, and by further opening the support plate, the residue on the support plate is all cleaned, and next combustion is rendered effective.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that fire can not be extinguished easily and surely in the course of combustion and that disassembly and carrying can not be executed, in regard to usual combustion equipment using low-ash-content solid fuel. SOLUTION: Portable solid fuel combustion equipment is constituted of a combustion furnace 1 bearing low-ash-content solid fuel, a mantle body 2 which can hold this combustion furnace 1, a heat-sensitive body 3 made of metal which is fitted removably to the combustion furnace 1 so that it covers the upper part of the mantle body 2 and a stack 4 which is fitted removably to this heat-sensitive body 3 so that it is continuous to the upper part of the heat- sensitive body 3. The combustion furnace 1 has slit-shaped intake gaps 8d and 8e provided in the circumference of a tubular main body 8 so that air necessary for combustion be taken in laterally. The mantle body 2 has a heat insulating layer 16 provided inside and is shaped like a vessel of which the upper side is opened, and by fitting a cover body 5 airtightly on the upper side, supply of air to the combustion furnace 1 inside is interrupted so that fire can be extinguished.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to ignite a solid fuel positively and rapidly by attaching arc generating means to the inside of a combustion chamber of a burner, and operating the means from the external side of the combustion chamber to generate arc of a high temperature and to ignite the solid fuel in the combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:An igniter 12 is constituted in such a manner that a carbon rod 16 panetrates through a part close to the peripheral edge of a receiving plate 2 and is installed upright, a metal plate 17 swinging in a connectable and separable manner is provided, and a DC current is applied between the carbon rod 16 and the metal plate 17. An operating part 17' swinging the metal plate 17 is positioned at the external part of the combustion chamber 4 and the metal plate 17 is swung manually or by a prime mover to generate an arc between the carbon rod 16 and the metal plate 17. The igniting operation is simple and convenient and further there is no possibility of putting out in half burning and the solid fuel can be positively ignited.

    • PURPOSE:To make ignition to solid fuel possible surely and quickly by a method wherein at a combustion part where solid fuel is accomodated and held to be burnt a ceramic heater is fixed and red-heated with electric current by the operation outside the combustion part and solid fuel in the combustion part is ignited. CONSTITUTION:An ignitor 12 is composed of a nearly wooden spoon or guitarshaped ceramic heater in plane view and fixed on the upper surface of a heat insulating and retaining layer 21 placed on the top surface of a wear plate 2. As the electrode parts 13, 13 of the heater are located at the outside of a combustion chamber 4 surrounded and formed by a cylindrical body 3, the electrode parts are prevented from being exposed directly to a high temp. atmosphere formed at the combustion time of solid fuel such as oil coke etc. Ignition is able to be carried out by only an power supplying operation from the outside of a device and an ignition operation is simple and the solid fuel is able to be surely ignited with no fear of combustion failure.
