    • PURPOSE:To obtain a sterilizable curing composition for dental use, having high durability and safety without using a germicide, being utilized a photoelectrochemical germicidal action of titania by mixing titania fine powder on which a metal such as platinum or titanium is carried. CONSTITUTION:A sterilizable curing composition for dental use obtained by mixing titania fine powder (rutile type or anatase type, preferably having 5mum particle diameter) carrying thereon a metal (pref. platinum, palladium or titanium and a base metal such as silver or nickel, where nickel is used for seal material or gypsum model). When a cured body of the composition containing the metal-carried titania fine powder exposed on the surface of tooth is illuminated with proper visible light, it is effective for prevention of caries and periodontal disease or prevention of malodor, because the cured body and the peripheral tooth part are sterilized. When the cured body contained in the inside of tooth is illuminated with visible light capable of permeating tooth, sterilization effect is given and is effective for prevention of diseases inside and deep part of the gum.

    • PURPOSE:To restrain the development of casting blow hole and to produce high quality casting by making permeability of a molding material at least in the neighborhood of cavity larger than that at the other part. CONSTITUTION:The mold 4 having a sprue 41, runner 42 and casting cavity 43 under mutually communicating condition is set in a casting chamber for differential pressure casting apparatus. Then, the casting material 13 melted with the are generating device is poured into the sprue 41 in the mold 4 from a crucible and immediately, by operating an inert gas supplying means and sucking means, the difference between inner pressures of a melting chamber and the casting chamber is formed. By this different pressure, the molten casting material in the sprue 41 is flowed into the casting cavity 43 through the runner 42, to serve as a feeder. Then, as the permeability C1 at least in the neighborhood of the casting cavity 43 is made to large than the permeability C2 at the other part, the pressure Pa in the casting cavity 43 is rapidly balanced almost with the inner pressure in the casting chamber and the pressure Pb becomes smaller than the pressure Pa near the sprue 41 and the difference P1 of both pressure is equalized to setting inner pressure difference between the melting chamber and the casting chamber. Therefore, the molten material 13 is quickly cast into the casting cavity 43 and the casting having closely high quality without casting blow hole is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the run performance of the arc melting and casting device which pours the metal melted by arc heating in a crucible into a casting mold by tilting the crucible by providing a molten metal leading member which has a good thermal conductivity and has a hollow part possessing a specific inside diameter in communication with the casting port of the casting mold. CONSTITUTION:The arc melting and casting device for precision casting of dental metals and alloys has a melting chamber 11 disposed with the tilting crucible 4 consisting of a copper block and a casting chamber 12 which is partitioned from the melting chamber 11 by a partition wall 13 and is fixed with the casting mold 6 having a casting mold space 62 molded with a dental plate by an alumina casting mold type packing material. The molten metal introducing member 5 is freely attachably and detachably fitted into the partition wall 13. The molten metal introducing member 5 is made of copper and is formed with a hollow part 51 by providing a straight through-hole. The min. inside diameter d of the hollow part 51 is specified to a 50 to 100% range of the outside diameter of a circular cylindrical ingot 3. As a result, the molten metal is cooled by coming into contact with the inside wall of the hollow part 51 at the time of pouring the molten metal into the casting mold 6 by tilting the crucible 4, by which a defectless casting is produced.
