摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to disinfect a contact lens without the problems accompanying heating by providing the inside of an oxygen dissolving liquid with a pair of electrodes deposited with an active oxygen generating agent contg. polyaniline on the negative electrode and disinfecting the contact lens soaked in the liquid with the active oxygen generated on the negative electrode side. SOLUTION: The contact lens disinfecting device 100 has a cylindrical vessel l for putting the contact lens B into a preserving liquid A and the electrodes 10a, 10b disposed at its bottom. The electrodes 10a, 10b constitute a surface planar shape and are disposed in a laid state apart a spacing above and below. A separator 11 is interposed between the electrodes 10a and 10b. The carbon fibers into which the polyaniline is electrolytically polymerized are used for the negative electrode 10a and platinum is used for the positive electrode 10b. When DC voltage is impressed on the electrodes 10a, 10b by a battery 12, the generated active oxygen diffuses and is supplied to the lens B on the electrodes 10a, 10b.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a permanent and economical antifouling without contaminating an environment in an antifouling method preventing a sticking of a marine organism at a part contacting with the sweater on a surface of a marine structure, a seawater intake device of a ship. SOLUTION: In this antifouling method, the surface necessitating the antifouling is coated with a conductive coating 1 having a composition in which a power or fiber of a conductive material selected from among a graphite powder, carbon black, metal powder and conductive fiber, a binder selected from among a thermoplastic synthetic resin, thermosetting synthetic resin and natural or synthetic rubber and polyaniline are selected within the range of (20-90):(10-70):(1-40) by weight, and a direct current of >=10mA/m per area of the cathode 1 is made to flow from a direct current power source device 6 provided separately between a counter electrode 2A made of an insoluble anode material by using the coating 1 as a cathode. An activated oxygen is generated at the surface of the cathode 1, and microorganism are sterilized with the activated oxygen and the sticking of a large-sized marine organism is prevented.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and certainly kill a microorganism in water to sterilize water without being accompanied by danger from an aspect of work and generating harmful gas. SOLUTION: A plate anode 2 composed of a platinum plated titanium plate, a cathode 1 composed of a platinum plated titanium plate having polyaniline films 3 applied to both main surfaces thereof and a stirrer 5a rotationally driven by a motor 5 are immersed in water 6 housed in a container 7 and a current is supplied across the anode 2 and the cathode 1 while water 6 is stirred by the stirrer 5a. By this constitution, the polyaniline films 3 reduce dissolved oxygen in water 6 to form superoxide which in turn kills a microorganism in water 6. This superoxide also contributes to the reductive reaction of oxygen to reduce once oxidized polyanilin by the reducing current flowing to polyanline capable of again reducing oxygen in water.

SOLUTION: This active oxygen generating agent contains a polyaniline. As the polyaniline, at least one of the polyanilines expressed by formula I to IV (in the formulas, A is a negative ion) is preferably used because of having a good active oxygen generating efficiency, etc. By bringing the active oxygen generating agent into contact with a liquid containing a dissolved oxygen (e.g.; tap water and well water), the active oxygen is generated. In the active oxygen generating agent, e.g. a powder of an activated carbon, a zeolite, etc., a carbon powder, an electric conductive fiber, etc., are allowed to be blended besides the polyaniline.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily generate active oxygen of an amount sufficient for sterilization or cracking, etc., of organic matter even in the absence of light in a gaseous phase by reacting oxygen and polyaniline into the gaseous phase where oxygen exists by using an active oxygen generator containing polyaniline, thereby generating the active oxygen. SOLUTION: A polyaniline-containing layer 1 is deposited on the surface of a cathode 2 and a diaphragm 3 is arranged between the cathode 2 and a cathode 4. This device is arranged in the gaseous phase where the oxygen exists and current is passed thereto by using an external power source, by which the active oxygen is continuously generated. An active oxygen generation function is restored by reducing the polyaniline after generating the active oxygen. Also, the active oxygen generation function is restored by decreasing the moisture adsorbed on the polyaniline after generating the active oxygen. This active oxygen generator is capable of generating the active oxygen without requiring the light in the gaseous phase where the oxygen exists.

SOLUTION: The surface of a conductive material is coated with a conductive composition composed of 10-60 wt.% of the powder and/or fiber of a conductive material, 20-85 wt.% of a binder and 1-40 wt.% of a polyaniline to obtain a cathode. Direct current is applied between the cathode and a counter electrode in water where oxygen is dissolved to cathodically reduce the dissolved oxygen on the surface of the coat, and thus, oxygen is generated. Oxidized polyaniline after active oxygen generation being reversibly returned to reduced polyaniline by applying energy from outside, the active oxygen can be generated continuously and effectively.
