    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the length in the feeding direction of a sheet of paper being sent and detect the sending of a sheet of paper that is shorter or longer in length than a preset length of a sheet of paper so as to prevent the sending of a sheet of paper of an abnormal shape or double sending thereof with high accuracy. SOLUTION: Disposed are a paper sending sensor 2 having a slit disc having a diameter much greater than that of the feeding roller 18 designed to rotate interlockingly with the rotation of a feeding roller 18 and detect the feeding amount of a sheet of paper 5 by the feeding roller 18 and having a slit disc 58 having a diameter much greater than that of the feeding roller 18 and a paper confirmation paper 3 for detecting the existence of a sheet of paper 5 to be fed, whereby a sheet of paper 5 whose feeding amount is different from a predetermined feeding amount is detected with high accuracy by detecting the feeding amount of a sheet of paper 5 by the paper sending sensor 2 while its existence is being detected by the paper confirmation sensor 3.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the lap-feed of paper sheets by separating paper sheets stacked by the difference between the friction force between a feed roller and the paper sheets and the friction force between the paper sheets one by one to feed the separated sheet. CONSTITUTION:The endless belt 14 trained over a feed roller 2 runs in a B- direction by the rotation of the feed roller 2 and feeds the lowermost paper sheet 21 being in contact with the endless belt 14 in a C-direction by the friction force with the paper sheets stacked on a guide plate to send the same into the gap between the feed roller 2 and a separation roller 3. Feed force is imparted to the paper sheet 21 by the friction force of the feed roller 2 and the paper sheet 21 and braking force is allowed to act on the upper surface of the paper sheet 21 by the friction force of the separation roller 3 and the paper sheet 21 and, if a plurality of the paper sheets 21 are fed in an overlapped state, they are separated one by one to be fed. Therefore, the lap-feed of the paper sheets can be prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print all information mentioned in a slip for processing directly onto a packing bag by providing a guide device for positioning the packing box being carried at a predetermined position on a conveyer for carrying the packing box with a product received and packaged and also by placing a printer. SOLUTION: When a packing box 6 comes into contact with a guide plate 19, the guide plate 19 is pressed by the box 6 and moved in a direction for increasing a distance between a pair of guide plates 19 while compressing a compression spring 23. The compression spring 23 pushes back this to hold the packing box 6 by the pair of guide plates 19 and correct it to a predetermined position. When the packing box 6 is further carried to a sensor hole position, light emitted from a light sensor 17 is reflected by the packing box 6 to detect existence of the box 6. Based on the detection signal, a printer 4 is activated by an instruction from a computer, so that a bar code including arbitrary information corresponding to an individual box 6 is printed on a side of the packing box 6 being carried.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the application of a postmark on mails, by providing such an arrangement that the postmark is applied on the mails which are transferred substantially rectilinearly in the vertical direction, and a feed mechanism only directs the widthwise direction of each mail to be applied with the postmark in the longitudinal direction, and sets the mail on the preceding mail so that the mails are one by one applied with the postmark. CONSTITUTION:An automatic postmark application device is provided with an automatic feed section 21 in which several carrier rods 31 for mails to be applied with a postmark are rotatably attached at predetermined pitches to a pair of chains 34 so that mails to be applied with the postmark in which postcards and postenvelopes are mingled together, are set on a bed plate 29, being laid longitudinally thereof with the widthwise direction thereof being directed in the vertical direction. Further, the mails to be applied with the postmark on the bed plate 29 are pushed out by the carried rods 31 and are delivered to a separate feed section 22 where the mails to be applied with the postmark are separated one by one under action of primary and secondary separate feed rollers 63, 71, and then are fed to a posture compensating section 23 in which the mails are applied with the postmark by means of a press-mark part 24 after the postures of the mails are compensated. After application of the postmark the mails are then transferred to a line-up section 25 so that they are taken out being lined-up.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reasonably and securely convey an object to be postmarked by automatically corresponding to objects to be postmarked having various thicknesses by bringing polygonal separation wheels in contact with a rear surface of the object to be postmarked which is put in a stocker intermittently to move them vertically and separate one by one, detecting a thickness of the object to be postmarked by a thickness detection device, and nipping the object to be postmarked by a conveyance roller which moves vertically and a fixed roller to postmark it while conveying it. SOLUTION: A stocker 19, a separation wheel 2, a separation device 9, a conveyance roller 5 with thickness detection device 3, and a printing device 10 are sequentially arranged along the direction of conveyance, and the polygonal separation wheel 2 comes in and out through a window part of the stocker 19 on which objects to be postmarked are put to bring it in contact with a rear surface of the object to be postmarked intermittently. Moreover, the conveyance roller 5 which is mounted on a plurality of roller support arms 4 which can oscillate freely so as to turn freely and is driven through an Oldham's coupling opposes to fixed rollers 14A, 14B, respectively, and the roller support arms 4 are engaged mutually and arranged along the direction of conveyance to nip and convey the object to be postmarked by the conveyance roller 5 and the fixed rollers 14A, 14B to postmark it.
