摘要： PURPOSE:To continuously change or adjust the gear ratio with no interruption, by rotating a drive side propeller in a casing in which liquid is filled so as to induce a stream of liquid, and by continuously changing the area of the stream impinging upon the propeller. CONSTITUTION:A propeller 2 attached to a drive shaft 1 is rotated in a casing 8 filled therein with liquid, so as to induce a stream of liquid. Further, the induced stream of liquid rotates a propeller 4 attached to a driven shaft 5. At this time the velocity of the flowing liquid and the area of the liquid impinging upon the propeller 4 on the driven shaft 5 are controlled by control plates 3 so as to change or adjust the rotational speed and the axial torque which are required for the driven shaft 5. Further, the rotational speed and the axial torque of the driven shaft 5 are continuously changed or adjusted with no interruption by continuously controlling the opening and closing of the control plates 3 as diaphragms in the camera. That is, it is possible to continuously change the speed ratio.
