    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethylenic polymer composition (particles) excellent in particle properties, scarcely causing sintering, and excellent in moldabitity, to provide a method for efficiently producing the particles of the composition, and to prepare a film having small unevenness of thickness and excellent in tear strength. SOLUTION: This method for producing the ethylenic polymer composition comprises using a catalyst which contains a component obtained by bringing a liquid magnesium compound into contact with a liquid titanium compound in the presence of an organic silicon compound, and further includes (I) a process for producing an ethylene (co)polymer (i) the intrinsic viscosity ([η]) of which is at least 1.5 times the [η] of an ethylene (co)polymer (ii) and (II) a process for producing the ethylene (co)polymer (ii) the [η] of which is 0.3-3 dl/g, wherein the process (II) is conducted in the presence of the polymer (i), or the process (I) is conducted in the presence of the polymer (ii), so that the ethylenic polymer composition having an [η] of 1-6 dl/g and a density of >=0.94 g/cm is produced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a solid titanium catalyst component capable of producing a highly stereoregular polyolefin in high catalytic activity while suppressing the production of a lowly stereoregular polyolefin as a by-product, to provide a prepolymerization catalyst and an olefin polymerization catalyst each containing the above component, and to provide a method for polymerizing an olefin by using the catalyst. SOLUTION: The method for producing the solid titanium catalyst component comprises bringing (i) solid titanium containing magnesium, titanium, a halogen, and an electron donor (c), not undergoing titanium separation when washed with hexane at 25°C, and having a mean particle diameter of 26 to 75 μm, (ii) a polar compound having a dipole moment of 0.50 to 4.00 Debye, and (iii) liquid titanium (d) and/or an electron donor (e) into contact with each other at 40°C or higher to lower the titanium content of the solid titanium (i) by at least 25 wt.% to produce the solid titanium catalyst component (A) having a weight ratio of the electron donors (c+e)/titanium of 7 or higher and a mean particle diameter of 25 to 70 μm.
