    • PURPOSE:To enhance image preservability, especially, light fastness, in a recording material consisting of a specific fluorene dye precursor and a developer for allowing said precursor to form a color through the reaction therewith, by compounding an aromatic isocyanate compound and a specific imino compound. CONSTITUTION:An imino compound has at least one group represented by formula 1 and is represented by formula II (wherein phi is an aromatic compound residue capable of forming a conjugated system along with adjacent C=N) and is a colorless or light- colored compound solid at ambient temp. Each of the imino compound and an aromatic isocyanate compound is used in a amount of 1% or more by wt. of a dye precursor. When a developed color image obtained from a fluorene dye precursor represented by formula III (wherein R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are respectively a lower alkyl group) and a developer is exposed to sunrays, the image is deteriorated within a short period and the sufficient absorption of a near infrared region is not obtained but, by using the imino compound and the aromatic isocyanate compound, the obtained image holds the absorption of the near infrared region even when exposed to sunrays for a long period of time and the deterioration thereof is markedly prevented by the interaction of both compounds.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in preservability of image and nonimage areas and heat response characteristics, by using an amino compound and a biphenyl compound and/or a naphthalene compound which are respectively specified. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material comprising an aromatic isocyanate compound and an imino compound having at least one C=NH group and capable of forming a color through a reaction when being heated comprises an amino compound of formula (1), wherein R1 is a substd. Or unsubstd. Alkoxyl, alkyl, aryl, alkylamino or amino, and at least one compound of formula (2) or (3), wherein each of R2, R3, R4, and R5 is hydrogen, a halogen, aryl, aralkyl, alkoxyl, alkenyloxyl or aralkyloxyl, and each of R6 and R7 is hydrogen, hydroxyl, an aryl, alkoxyl, aralkyloxyl, aralkylcarbonyl, aryloxycarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl or arylcarbonyloxyl. The amino compound of formula (1) may be methyl p-aminobenzoate, ethyl p-aminobenzoate, n-propyl p-aminobenzoate or the like. The biphenyl compound of formula (2) may be 2-phenylbiphenyl, 3-phenylbiphenyl, 4-phenylbiphenyl or the like. The naphthalene compound of formula (3) may be 1,4-dimethoxynaphthalene, 1,4-diethoxynaphthalene, 1,4- dibenzyloxynaphthalene or the like.
